Check out our JL headlight kit. No anti flicker needed, and tons of happy customers with them.

We also have 20% off going on for the next couple of days, with discount code "tax20"
Thanks, I ordered the halos. The stock lights are so bad, I keep trying to turn on the high beam when they're already on.

For future orders (looking forward to fender LEDs to match) what the forum member discount code?

In the same boat and kind of looking at the Quake 9" headlights. https://www.quakeled.com/product/jl-9-hd-headlights-tempest
They're a bit pricy but look really nice. I guess if it's a JL made for a 9" headlight might as well spend a hundred more for a 9" set.
Are there any other 9" lights out there? Anyone else have these?

The only 9” lights I’ve found are what I posted above. Everything else right now seems to be a 7” diameter light with a bracket or trim.

Sorry my mistake. :CWL: Yours are pretty cool. The ones I mentioned seem to be easier to adjust though.
Yea... the adjustments.. only if they nailed that one, but I guess it would cost way more.. then again, it’s not like you have to adjust your headlights all the time, do it once and forget it.

I do have the Morimoto sealed 7 and love them and how they look. The morimoto adapters look slick and leave no gaps. The only thing I have trouble with is that this last year in the winter they do not put out enough heat to melt snow on them when driving in a snow storm. Luckily I will not have to worry about that next year since I will be spending the winter in Florida next year.....

I bought mine from eBay, but they are also selling on Amazon:

Here is my honest opinion on these headlights, coming from stock halogens, they are bright, super bright, probably 3-4x brighter than my halogens, but I find the optics inside do NOT scatter light like many other aftermarket LEDs, it makes a sharp cut-off in a cone shaped area, see my last pic, and they are pointed down low as is, no need for adjustments on my Jeep. Now, if you do want to adjust them, there is no screw adjuster on the housing like the factory assembly, you have to add washers between housing and the rivnuts on the frame, which is a straightforward process.

With the low beams on, the vertical bulbs light up, while high beam leaves the low beam bulb on and turn on the two horizontal bulbs at the same time, so you can short and long range illumination. I wired my DRL to Aux 4 switch so I can manually set it, with just the DRL on during the day, it looks absolutely amazing, I get plenty of head turns and lookie loos driving around, and people complimenting on the headlights when I park.

I have not experienced any incoming flashes telling me my headlights are too bright or too high. I have even verified this myself by standing a good 50ft away at regular sedan seating level and looking straight on at the headlights, not blinding.

I'm at work and night here so I won't be able to take decent photos with the Jeep for a while, my phone doesn't have enough dynamic range to capture both the light and the Jeep at the same time. But I'll take more decent photos with it during the weekend and sunny out.

Follow up to your post cause that is a great price for a true 9" light if it works that well. Did you notice any feed back or flicker with the new lights installed. Like would we need to get anti flicker connections?

we have been selling the original King Kong headlights for over a year now. Probably one of the best 7" replacements I have used. Has an excellent cutoff line, looks amazing, and is a true DOT(Department of Transportation) approved headlight. Not many other companies can actually provide the DOT approval.

Our 7" adapter rings feature an actual US Patent # and have a rubber seal to help fill in the gap in the grille to make these look as close to OEM as you can get. We have matching JL foglights as well.

Everyone on this forum always gets 20% off and always free shipping. We even assemble the headlight and brackets for you. All you have to do is plug them in. We just installed another set today. PM me for the 20% off coupon code

My heated trucklites served my jk well and continue their service in the morimoto buckets in my jl. We had a decent blizzard in Colorado last month and they didnt ice over one bit.
