I was going to say basically the same thing as stumblinhorse. Your "alignment" doesn't change with a spacer lift, except for caster, which isn't adjustable (they can't adjust it to be within spec).

I put 1.75 inch blocks in front and 1 inch in the back to return to level on a 2021 JLUR after putting on bumpers and winch. I didn't get an alignment and everything is fine 35000 miles later.

Local mechanic stating he will not install leveling kit without doing an alignment. Mission critical? I was under the impression after reading many posts here that the truck may not need the alignment. Only do if absolutely needed. Thoughts? Thanks1
As these guys stated (several times) not needed ….I’m responding to tell you not to use that mechanic, he’s either trying to milk you for every penny, or he doesn’t realize that alignment isn’t necessary….. either way it’s a red flag and I wouldn’t let him touch it…… I recommend you do it yourself if that’s at all an option….. There’s a lot of us on here that can walk you through it……when you’re done you’ll have a way better understanding of your rig that will pay off in the future……

Spacer only install means there is 0 need for alignment. Caster will be down but with fixed stock or even aftermarket arms it can't be adjusted. Toe is adjustable but will not change as the steering wasn't touched. The steering wheel will need centered but that is not an alignment and should be included in any lift install. Now with the price they are charging it wouldn't hurt as maybe toe was off before the install and it will be good to know how bad your caster is to determine if adding lower control arms needs to move up the to do list. I just hate the wording of it being mandatory.

Mechanic specializes in Jeeps. Quoted price was $300 with an alignment which still seems fair. Of course I'd prefer to do for less without the alignment.

Appreciate the advice of doing it myself. Going to try to speak to my neighbor who has all of the tools needed. Thanks again Roky...

Neighbor and I tackled last night (rear) and this morning (front). Only broke up because life gets in the way. Used jack stands and jack and while I won't say it was easy, it wasn't too difficult. My neighbor was the lead and I played helper. Does not appear as if I picked up a full 1.50" however it does look noticeably higher. On to the next thing!

With spacers you picked up exactly what you put in.
