I did not see a General Jeep Discussion! So put it here, move it as you see fit.

You pull into a parking space and a guy walks up to you. He says HE HATES Jeeps, CR says they are CHIT and so does everyone else. He then he is a Billionaire x 200 and he will buy me ANY production auto made in the world. He will give me a lifetime warranty on it. All I have to do is hand him my keys and tell him what auto I want, he will pay me to fly there.

There is one catch: You will have to drive that car for the rest of your life and it's your only car!

OMG, GREAT, the 20XX Jeep Rubicons hit the showrooms tomorrow and I you tell me where to send you the bill 'cause I am going to drive the rest of my life!

Take Away: If I had to pick ONE CAR and one only, JEEP Wrangler Rubicon, 2 dr. I have always felt this way!

Wouldn't do it. As much as I'd love the vehicle I'd choose at that point in time, Wrangler or not, I'd want the next iteration/version at some point.

VERY good question! I know it would be a Wrangler, but my question is a 2 door or 4 door. That is the problem I'm having right now with an order decision. I love the look and size of the 2 door, but I believe that I need the extra space of the 4 door. The older I get, the more I think the 2 door would be the vehicle that would fit me best. The only problem I'm having is that all of the grandchildren (4 right now) want to go for a Jeep ride. I may just have to make 2 trips for the rides. :like:

No airbags in the back either. Something to think about before putting kids back there.

Couldn't do it. My lifestyle demands a pickup truck with towing capacity and a decent sized bed. If I could only drive one vehicle, sadly I'd have to leave my Jeeps behind.

But wait - Jeep makes a Rubicon pickup truck! Maybe there's hope! Well, I need a bed longer than 4 feet and really don't need the extra two doors in the cab. No possible way Jeep will re-tool and make a truck like that for myself and maybe only 87 other guys on the planet like me who would buy it.

Well… my choice would be a 2006 Rubicon Sahara (Rubihara or Saharacon) LJ with manual transmission. (Yes, there was an official Rubicon Sahara. Can’t remember if it was 2005 or 2006. Also can’t remember if you could get it with manual transmission; most used ones I’ve seen had the auto)

But otherwise it would be the jeep I currently own. That’s why I bought it!

I took this pic as a joke with my buddy who owns the van; I told him his van was big enough to hold my jeep and it’s damn close ?

Good question… I’d be hard pressed to sell mine unless they offered Snazzberry again. If they did, I may be swayed to part with mine for a JLURD with the extreme recon package.

Unfortunately the diesel is going away, so I’d probably just stick with my current ride and turn them down. Especially since I intended for this Jeep to be my last new car purchase….

Edit. I forgot to take into consideration the lifetime warranty aspect. With that in mind I’d take a 4xe in punk’n in a heartbeat…wait maybe the Hurricane engine instead. This question is more difficult than I originally thought. In the end it would be a jeep, but the engine configuration ?‍♂.

There's no way I'd take that deal. Having only one car for the rest of my life, no matter how cool it is, would suck! I'm not going to marry a car. My cars don't get jealous when I drive another car. I'm an automobile serial cheater and proud of it!

Anyways, I'm pretty close to having my dream garage: JLR, Factory Five Cobra and a Toyota Tundra. Now all I need is a Cayman GT4 RS and I'd die a very happy man.

This is actually a very bad offer. If it is for the rest of my life would have to pick either F-150 or Camry. Lifetime warranty means nothing unless parts are actually available. So would be forced to pick a vehicle that has the largest number of units in the field and for which the manufacturer has a reputation for evolving very slowly.

I’d very hard pressed to own anything else than a Jeep Wrangler. I’ve owned nine of them and I simply love what Wranglers can —and cannot— do.

Having said that, FCA/Stellantis, Jeep and its dealers keep doing their earnest to get me to go elsewhere next time.
