Where do you get your cheap/free electricity for charging?
Electricity is super cheap here in Indiana. I charge my 4xe at least once/day and my electricity bill went up only $10/month since I got the 4xe a year ago. I only buy gasoline every 5-6 weeks, so I’m saving roughly $2k a year not buying gasoline every 5-7 days like a regular gasoline vehicle.

Free - Retail complex(10 minutes walk), there is also a grocery store(12 minutes walk) with some chargers, I use those in the night if needed, I usually use an electric scooter so 5mins away.

City run paid chargers(10 minute walk) - $3 for a full 2 hour 10 minute charge after 8pm, 8am - 8pm it's $2 per hour.

I rarely use the paid now.

Gas is free too if your neighbors don't have locking gas caps. Just sayin.

amazing! He basically confirmed what you said ???

i guess the 4xe is like the SS Enterprise. If you REALLY want warp-speed, you have to check with Scotty and Mr Zulu to make sure all the buttons are in the right place before you can engage ???
it's very simple, if your use case for a vehicle is to constantly race civics at the red light, simply do a warm up of the ICE when you start the 4xe, keep it in 4hi auto and traction off.

Now if you are red lining driving out of your garage, yea then the 4xe is not the vehicle for that.

no mis-information being spread by me. Like I said, it’s Perspective. Take a look at all of the highway arteries that lead into and around any major city, where MOST of the people and traffic are! Look at all the traffic going back and forth from suburbs, where MOST of your working class are coming from. MILLIONS of cars every single workday. MOST of them are definitely driving more that 26 round trip miles/day! And MOST of them have ZERO access to charging stations at their office, much less free charging??.
You are the spreader of misinformation, based mostly on your lack of observation.
4xe is a Niche vehicle that is not practical for MOST!!!

But that is completely off topic of this thread?

When I test drove the 4xe, it was not that fun either. I’m not sure what drive mode the salesman had the Jeep in, but it was underwhelming. I have a 4xe scheduled for rent in mid September for an out of town trip. We decided to rent the Wrangler to see how we will like the wind/noise comfort of our 392 XR that is on order. I’ll have more time to fiddle with the 4xe controls and give it every opportunity to be”fun”?

MOST people stuck in traffic don't drive Wranglers, and if you are constantly stuck in bumper to bumper traffic on the highway, a Wrangler regardless of engine ain't the ideal vehicle for that purpose.

The 4xe is a choice for people that are buying a Wrangler, again don't look at the Wrangler if mpg is a major factor.

Just in case you didn't know, the Wrangler is a niche vehicle.

It seems you being a non Wrangler owner, with a Dodge RAM and Maxima have very specific needs that the 4xe does not offer, and just hate the fact many others have the ability to use the 4xe for what it was designed for, I would be angry also if the government is paying people thousands to buy a vehicle, and I was not able to capitalize on that largesse.

Then there are some that see the government free money and just blindly buying things they should not be buying.

you are the king of assumptions?. I do not “hate” the 4xe or the fact that some people find the 4xe suitable for their needs. I am only stating opinions based on the FACT that I already test drove a 4xe. There you go again putting words in the mouths of others??.
I give up dude?‍♂??. I will certainly share my opinion of the 4xe when I’ve driven it for a few days and about 1000 miles in mid September.

And yes, you are correct that I am angry?, so angry in fact that I ordered a 392 to vent my frustration ????

notice the OP excluded the 392 from this thread because he knew it wouldn’t be a fair fight for the FUNNEST vehicle if it were included ??✌

dude you infest every 4xe thread like a pest spreading nonsense and regurgitating outright lies.

you can drive a 4xe for 10,000 miles it still will not matter, because the 4xe does not meet your basic requirements, and your maxima co-pilot already said it drives like a golf cart lol.

Wait until they get all the jeepers that want electric hooked then they lower the boom on electrical rates.

Go with the manual 3.6, or get a used auto 3.6 without e-torque, and put an engine-popper supercharger on it.

My cj 7 had the 4.2 that couldn’t be killed. my jk had the 3.8 and couldn’t keep up on the Highway. From there I went 2.0 sport, and my 1st auto trans. I couldn’t believe how preppy that motor was. I loved the motor and ran mid grade fuel or premium to get the best performance and mileage. Now I’m rocking the 3.0 diesel in a rubicon and it is truly my dream jeep! My mantra is “diesel don’t care” steep hill climb “ddc” mud hole “ddc”, sand dunes “ddc”, snow “ddc”, loaded down with gear and people, you guessed it “ddc”! I’m averaging 25.5mpg. If something happened to this jeep I would buy the diesel again 10/10.

I can attest that a MT adds fun to any car (4 of our 6 are manuals) but not what I want in a daily anymore. Still, stroke ‘’em if you got ‘em
Guess I am the only one that prefers a manual as a daily. I know the auto is better for off road, but as a "daily" (I don't drive daily) I prefer the manual, even in the worst traffic conditions.

My daily is a bicycle (30 mile round trip commute). The Jeep is for fun and errands. I wish my van was a manual...but no room in the footwell for a third pedal :(

Actually, I am digging in to the 4xe to help one of my coworkers make a decision to buy one. So, I’m getting all the info I can. Also a reason I’m going to rent a 4xe from Turo in a couple weeks. She is not interested in a 392.
You are obviously very sensitive and defensive about your 4xe and you need to lighten up ????

I may not respond for awhile because I’m taking off from Israel right now headed to Newark. So go gentle on the replies for the next 12 hrs ???
