You'd have to ask the people that conducted the test.Educate me, where are the 8 cylinders from yesteryear? Why are they almost gone?
Edit: There are plenty of 8 cylinder motors, from about 3.8-6.8 liters.

Think, why are 8 cylinders almost entirely gone? People pay big bucks for the 392, they would also pay big buck for a Smoky and the Bandit Trans Amā¦ā¦.you know the answer! You'd have to ask the people that conducted the test.
Hint, it's not because of cylinder count.Think, why are 8 cylinders almost entirely gone? People pay big bucks for the 392, they would also pay big buck for a Smoky and the Bandit Trans Amā¦ā¦.you know the answer!
My apologies, maybe I focused on āI assume it'd be quite a bit better with our exceptional automatic.ā My bad!Yes, and I quoted my response that says the opposite of "it is barely noticeable". In case you missed it: https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/forum/threads/v6-auto-officially-dead-for-2025.136510/post-2847904.
Sorry, but I have no idea how you inverted what I stated.
Then whatHint, it's not because of cylinder count.
My guess is that It's cheaper to build an engine with a turbo and smaller cylinder count than one with more cylinders. Then what
BSā¦ā¦ people will stand in line to buy a real muscle car. Cheaperā¦..itās cheaper to buy a Toyota Corolla, so if your logic is logical, everyone would buy a Corolla. An 8 cylinder vehicle will produce more emissions than a turbo 4ā¦..plain and simple. I donāt even know how to use a hammer, but I can read and determine within a great amount of certainty BS. VEHICLES MUST MEET FEDERAL EMISSION STANDARDSā¦ā¦..PERIOD! I donāt know, but maybe an 8 cylinder can meet the standard, hence the 392 price, but the 392 is not a muscle car. Trans Am, Camaro, Chevelle, even Corvette have been replaced with turbosā¦..lbecause of government controlMy guess is that It's cheaper to build an engine with a turbo and smaller cylinder count than one with more cylinders.
Obama care killed the junker so thats one reason. Oh, I have one from 1995 in my Bronco as a 347. Don't see to many 2.0 being transplanted into.... anything.Think, why are 8 cylinders almost entirely gone? People pay big bucks for the 392, they would also pay big buck for a Smoky and the Bandit Trans Amā¦ā¦.you know the answer!
You know though, how many complain about the 3.8 other than lack of go? None? How about no rev and no beans? 3.8 says hello.
Actually it can't, it carries a $1,500 emissions tax when bought, ask me how I know...BSā¦ā¦ people will stand in line to buy a real muscle car. That's a gas guzzler tax it has nothing to do with emissions and everything to do with MPGs.Actually it can't, it carries a $1,500 emissions tax when bought, ask me how I know...
Not sure how you jumped that far.BSā¦ā¦ people will stand in line to buy a real muscle car. Cheaperā¦..itās cheaper to buy a Toyota Corolla, so if your logic is logical, everyone would buy a Corolla.
Let's try this again. We agree that government dictates emissions. An 8 cylinder vehicle will produce more emissions than a turbo 4ā¦..plain and simple.
