The general rule has been that wheel size should never be bigger than half or less the tire size. In addition to making the tire appear larger, the smaller wheel also provides more sidewall protection; something you really probably want on the trails and rocks. Thus, 32” or 33” tires should run on 16” wheels, 34” or 35” tires should run on 17” wheels, 37” tires should never run bigger than 18” wheels, and so on. Unfortunately, the dearth of 16” wheels and compatible tires, and sometimes issues with brake components, necessitates that many of us who run 33” tires have to step up to 17” wheels. Personally, I like to see more rubber and less wheel.2019 MOAB with a 2.5” lift. Just put these 20x10 Fuel Mavricks with 305/55/20 Ridge Grapplers on it. I can’t get used to the look. Probably going back to 17’s. Still debating
