Yes, I went the week after EJS and used Jeeper Jeff (https://jeeperjeff.com/). I can't compare to anyone else but I was very happy with him and consider myself a moderately experienced wheeler. Jeff was willing to spot me on any line I wanted to try but still kept us safe. I do admit he looked a little nervous when I took this off camber downhill line on Golden Spike (Jeff was spotting me, his partner took the photo).@Craigger did a moab trip recently and used a guide out there. He might be able to shed some light on that.
The pictures just don’t do the obstacles justice. I remember doing that same obstacle back in 2013 and it was way, way worse than the picture shows.Yes, I went the week after EJS and used Jeeper Jeff (https://jeeperjeff.com/). Jeep Jamboree does some awesome guided runs. Highly recommended...if you can get in.Are there touring outfits out there where you drive your own Jeep but they lead the way out on the trails and can assist if you get in trouble? I'm too old to breakdown out in the middle of nowhere but would really like to put my Jeep through it's paces and see some new horizons.

I almost went with the same guide you're looking at but after watching this series of videos felt pretty comfortable doing it myself. You also won't be on the trails by yourself. Even if you pull over for lunch almost everyone stops to check on you.Are there touring outfits out there where you drive your own Jeep but they lead the way out on the trails and can assist if you get in trouble? I have driven from Nashville to Moab a number of times. Some thoughts. A week of driving from SC to UT and back is a week of driving and a day of wheeling, maybe, and you are worn out. If you have two weeks, now it gets good. Or, if you have two one week periods and have another vehicle back home, you can drive out to Moab and check your Jeep into a 10x20' storage unit in Grand Junction and fly back and forth. Costs about $100 per month or less for the storage and they are month to month. Or maybe you have a buddy that will fly out and bring it back so you have more time on the slick rock.I have been wanting to plan a trip out to Moab, Utah for a week ... I am in South Carolina. I have heard of people shipping their Jeeps out to Moab and then flying out there so they don't have to drive across the country...
Yeah, this turn was definitely a pucker moment. Steep downhill right turn, way off camber to the left, and your instincts are screaming at you to turn left into the downhill but that would result in a rollover. Good times! The pictures just don’t do the obstacles justice. I remember doing that same obstacle back in 2013 and it was way, way worse than the picture shows.
That looks intense! Golden Spike is on my list for my Moab trip in September. I assume that's not the only line down that? There's another line to the left which isn't off-camber but not easy. It's a series of shelves that go down but the line looked pretty straightforward. That looks intense! Golden Spike is on my list for my Moab trip in September. I assume that's not the only line down that? (asking for a friend)
