Anyone running these tires? I believe they came out about a year ago but haven’t seen many reviews on them. I just ordered a setting but probably should’ve done more research

They are Mickey Thompson tires so you should be okay no matter what.
Yeah it's kind of hard to go wrong with Mickey Thompson. No matter what you're getting a badass tire.

Actually started running Mickey Thompson tires on my mustang back in the day and now I run Mickey Thompson tires on my Corvette and Jeep.

I remember when BFG tried to get into the drag radial tire business and absolutely failed so miserably that they wish they had one of those Men in Black memory zappers. They were so bad BFG doesn't even admit their existence anymore.

I know because I bought a set for my mustang back in the day before I switched to the Mickey's.

Let's just say I've been a Mickey Thompson fan ever since.

a 'C' Load Range 37 would probably be right up my alley, but @ ~$550/ea before mounting balancing and installation it'll probably be a while before i find out.

Interesting. Not really able to find much difference between it and the M/T other than:
ModelLoad RangePliesWeight
XSC486lbs
MTD379lbs
Note - information from the Mickey Thompson website and weight for the 37x12.5x17

Was out wheeling just last weekend and admiring how well my MTs bulge out and deform at 12psi. Have about 30,000 miles on them and looks like I'll get another 15-20k. Pleased with how they perform.

My understanding is that the XS is a competition tire, and much softer than the MT which will wear far quicker if used on the road even though it is DOT approved.

Yeah they measure 60 with the durometer. Most tires are 65-75. Stickies are usually 55 and under. The Baja Boss X is about 45-50 so yes the XS is softer, which is great for grip.

So I would consider them a faster wearing road tire with better grip on the rocks etc. I run the X and my friend has the XS both in 40x13.5r17

Zero chunking with over 2 years of hard use in the rocks and all the sidewall lettering scrapped off. Zero tears or rips etc. Very good tires.

Mounted up set of five MT BB ATs couple thousand miles ago and so far knock on wood they've been super smooth and not even at hint of hydroplaning even at highway speeds in a downpour. No offroad yet but all the reviews I read before purchase said good.

Why would you think the BB ATs would be prone to hydroplaning? They have a lot more void area and sipes than most other tires. I've been running them for like 400 miles on/off-road and the only negative so far has been the weight, which impacted braking, acceleration and fuel consumption negatively by ~20%.

I wouldn't/didn't but ya never know until you drive them and I wanted to provide feedback for others considering purchasing them. Their weight is not much more than my stock 33" Falken MTs according to Mickey Thompson and Falken websites specs. :)

I switch back and forth between my BB AT's in 255/85-17 and 37's and it is crazy I get the same mpg with both sets with in tenths of mpg over the same routes...have had both to Moab 2X's. switching from the pizza cutters to the 37's seat of the pants is not real difference in acceleration but going the other way I can tell the pizza cutters accelerate better. lots of balance weight on the 37's and very little on the pizza cutters but they both roll smooth down the highway. the 37's roadforced out very nicely so the balance weights don't bother me.

the 34s are a bit less than 65lbs, the 37s are 80 lbs, with a much greater frontal area (13" vs 9"), how can you possibly get the same mileage? Do you have a rooftop tent, lights or rack or anything else that dominates the fuel economy factors?
