I'm also glad that a Basic Sport is available, 2 and 4 door. My 2 Dr has manual windows, if it ever became difficult to reach over, and crank the passenger side, I could install a power window kit for just that side, or get a Salvage door, same color, Change lock cylinders, and wire it in with a momentary rocker switch, separate power for the window motor....
Choice is Good.

I really enjoy all the power windows and locks but to be totally honest I would get used to roll-up windows and manual locks pretty quick. Power windows and locks are pretty reliable but there's less to go wrong with manual. Glade Jeep offers something for everyone.

Frankly, come trade- in time , one would be sorry to have manual windows. I can see the dealer whining already. " Shoot , roll up windows? , I m gonna have a hell of a time trying to sell that " then low ball you to death.

A friend of my kid got in our car, and didn't know what the window crank was for. Had to explain how it worked. :)

I agree it's always easier to sell a vehicle with more equipment. I still appreciate Jeep offering a basic Wrangler for anyone wanting one. Some folks might be on a tighter budget, want simplicity, plan on keeping it a long time.

I hear in some parts of the country like FL manual windows and locks are not as important on a Wrangler. Some people leave the doors off most of the time because the weather allows it. Until the humidity and heat start. lol Personally I can live without power windows but I have to have A/C! So my door would be on most of the summer.

I can totally see that. Lol!

Show the same kid a old rotary phone and see what happens. Or what doesn't happen. lol

I think that’s partially built in to the low MSRP and the fact that you can even negotiate down significantly from there.

I paid less for my 2 door 6 speed Sport than some people have paid for their Roxors.

I need any recommendations on converting my JL with manual windows and locks to power. I'm in Houston. Obviously I don't want to attempt doing it by myself and would love to pay a professional that can fix this perfectly without any issues. I've consulted a few dealership and they couldn't help.

Try your local tint/alarm/audio shops. Pick one with a good reputation. With so few cars on the road today that have non power windows and locks, there are probably not many places left that do conversions. So pick a place that has been in business for a long time.

Anyone get the mechanical ones and regret their decision?

Thanks!
I have power windows, but I know if I had manual windows I would regret it. Especially in a 4 door.

My JK had manual windows and I didn't mind it because it was easy enough to lean over and roll down the passenger window. My new JLR has power windows and they're nice, but I don't think they're a requirement on a 2dr.
