I recently bought a small travel trailer to tow with my 2019 JLUR and I am looking for some places to go and enjoy the area. I prefer to have hookups and am not really looking for boondocking sites or dry camping sites at this time. My wife and I are looking for weekend getaway ideas that we could possibly take our 80 pound dog. We live in the Riverside area so San Diego and Yosemite are within the range but I would also like some localish ideas as well so we can get there Friday night after work maybe.

Can’t go wrong with dry camping in Big Bear. We just did a short trip this past weekend and it was really nice. Got down into the thirties at night. It was a nice break from the heat!

Since you aren’t keen on dry camping, I’d say the Vail Lake KOA near Temecula is a good place to check out. We also enjoy Cava Robles RV park in Paso Robles, and when the weather cools down Stagecoach Trails RV in Anza Borrego is a great staging ground for all the off roading opportunities out there.
