A few weeks ago a buddy and I did Gold Mountain, Little John Bull and John Bull in about 3 hours. We only saw 2 other Jeeps the whole time. If there is no traffic and not a big groups then doing both trails definitely possible.
Granted, he was on 40s with a 4 inch lift and I have 37s with a...
As has been said previously, the gatekeeper on GM is challenging if you are not used to a boulder field but really not horrible if you can handle the rocking and rolling. After that, GM is not too bad, even for a stock Jeep. There are easier lines to take on the hardest obstacles.
The JB...
I don't think a traditional Jeep would get over that. It is a buggy thing, at least seems that way to me. It is so steep and I ad nowhere near the guts to climb higher then. I might be able to make it a bit higher now but not even close to the top!
I already put on a new Fox stabilizer. I wish that was the issue. Going in to the shop on Monday for my 3rd try at a worth destination to fix the issue!! (not including 2 other places that have done alignments)
Got my Kraken back in July and it is awesome. Pretty simple install and so much more convenient than hooking up my previous pump-in-a-bag and doing 1 tire at a time.
Truckhaven is not a large area. It is a fun playground for about an hour or so but I am not sure one should plan to make a day of it. There are a few short climbs and man-made obstacles but it is a pretty small area. If you are in the area anyway, it is a fun place to play around, especially...
Looks like I am out for this weekend. I am struggling to solve a steering wobble and it is just not right currently. Probably going into the shop to get someone to diagnose.
Was really looking forward to getting on the trail and meeting you guys up there. Sorry to be that guy who bails last...
Current weather looks like some of rain/snow next week. Not sure I want to do either of those trails in a winter storm. Will need to keep an eye on the forecast.
The middle rock garden of Holcomb is probably harder than any single obstacle Dishpan but overall Dishpan is more challenging. The v notch causes some difficulty and that is where many people have rolled over I guess. The waterfall on Dishpan can be as challenging as you want. More fun to go up...
So I need to separate the RCV axle shaft from the CV joint part itself. Any suggestions?
Long story shortish: I ordered RCV axle shafts, keeping FAD. Installed passenger side just fine. Went to install driver side and found out that they shipped 2 passenger side axle shafts (it is thicker than...
Thank you guys for this thread! I remembered to put the boot on BEFORE connecting the shaft with the CV joint portion.
However, when I went to install the driver side assembly, it wouldn't fit. Turns out that RCV put 2 passenger side shafts in the box and the passenger side shaft is not the...
I drove in 4Hi, and 4Lo, on the pavement because I was trying to see if my 4 wheel drive would engage after installing the new inner axle shaft. I test drove in 2 WD for a few miles but waited until I got back into my cul de sac to shift into 4WD just in case something went wrong, I did not...
Background: 2019 JLUR. Metalcloak 3.5 Game changer. 37" tires.
Had 3.5 MC Gamechanger installed last year. Developed death wobble shortly after. Replaced ball joints, installed MC tie rod and drag link, got alignment (2x). Seemed to be good.
Did Rubicon train in late July. Snapped inner axle...
