Lol….I’m in the middle of a study, I want to see how long I can rock the stocker, I have aftermarket in the front…..Wow. 44-46 in. That is crazy!

Limit straps are a good idea to keep the shocks from bearing weight and stress, but I wouldn’t let 4WP pet my dog.Looks like 1.5'' bump as well.. go roky! My local 4wp reps said i needed limit straps.. i said GTFO
The factory suspension binds before the shocks reach full extension. Limit straps are still a good idea for shock longevity.I find it funny when people say "you shouldn't use your shocks as a limiting factor" yet that's exactly what the factory shocks do.
I can assure you that the factory shocks 100% bottom out. Most of the jls only have 2-3.5" of down travel from the factory. The suspension isn't going to bind before it hits that. The factory suspension binds before the shocks reach full extension. Limit straps are still a good idea for shock longevity.
It's really interesting the level of misinformation you get from those guys.. we just have 4WP's in every neighborhood here in the Denver area and I have a 12 month interest free card via them.Limit straps are a good idea to keep the shocks from bearing weight and stress, but I wouldn’t let 4WP pet my dog.
wow, so a custom bracket and super long, fabbed track bar.. makes sense lol we need more droop in the front.. that's awesome ?This is what I’m gonna be doing, starts at 12:55 ish……..
Yeah Kevin’s got an awesome build for sure…..I can’t compete with his 5-7K shock package……best I can do is 42”….. and when you’re old like me you have to use a ladder…….?wow, so a custom bracket and super long, fabbed track bar.. makes sense lol we need more droop in the front.. that's awesome ?

Well to honest I just made an assumption. My factory suspension came off within weeks of getting the Jeep home. I'd still incorporate limit straps if you're going to do serious wheeling with a lift that allows maximum articulation. Good shocks are expensive, straps are cheap.I can assure you that the factory shocks 100% bottom out. Most of the jls only have 2-3.5" of down travel from the factory. The suspension isn't going to bind before it hits that.
Thanks brother……..Yeah my rears are Extended Length: 30.51 in and I'm running 2.5'' springs lol.
Those bilstein bypasses are sweet however Ohlins makes some JL adjustable shocks https://www.ohlins.com/product/road-track/jev-mu00/
I can't imagine they have anything on King/Fox but they're the worldwide kings of dampers. Crazy...
When I hit the lottery I might try those.
what you've done with your Jeep is just amazing.. make a backyard ramp and play!!
You most definitely have one of the bang for the buck Jeeps on this site... you can either toss money or do what you've done![]()
