Im assuming that since people are still potting the sensors, they haven't released replacement sensors yet? Which means they are still replacing entire axles if the sensor fails?

They have released new sensors, but the new sensors have the same issue with oil contamination.

King Diamond wheels?!!?!?

I heard they now have sensors you can buy. I don't know that all dealerships are doing this though.

thanks, im going to order a set to have them on standby if i F up this potting process. LOL
Just go slow and let the bit do the work and don't apply pressure and you will be fine. I used a drill press to limit the travel.

You’ll be alright. No worries at all. It’s nerve racking if you’ve never done anything like this, but treat it like prom night and go for it.

Did I read the torque specs page right, that you should not reuse the differential cover bolts?

AXLE - REAR - M200

Part |Nm |ft. lbs .| in. lbs. | Comments
Axle retainer nuts | 80 | 59 | - |
Bearing cap bolts | 65 | 48 | - |
Differential cover bolts | 41 | 30 | - | Do NOT reuse these fasteners. If removed, a NEW fastener MUST be installed and tightened to specifications.
Drain plug | 34 | 25 | - |
Fill plug | 34 | 25 | - |
Pinion nut | 240-550 | 177-406 | - | Do NOT reuse these fasteners. If removed, a NEW fastener MUST be installed and tightened to specifications.
Ring gear bolts | 180-240 | 133-177 | - | Do NOT reuse these fasteners. If removed, a NEW fastener MUST be installed and tightened to specifications.

I have taken diff covers off before and never replaced the bolts, looks like I need to rethink that.

No need to reply to this, I found my answer on page 8 or 9.
