After about 30 mins at 150f ish, it tacked up pretty well and I pulled it out to clean off the errant epoxy. An exacto knife and some brake cleaner on a paper towel worked well. I left the fillet that had formed around the cover lip. I concentrated on getting the areas where it had to register and the connector barrel and that slot where it goes around the other part on the coil. Then back in the oven at 150ish for a few hours. Maybe just leave it in there with the residual heat and the oven off, overnight.

Was this sensor working before you opened it and cleaned it?

All back together and working. There's a certain relief and satisfaction/confidence in having it potted.
And I owe ChevyMitchell a beer or two if I see him.

So no issues reinstalling after only 12 hours of cure time? I might not be able to wait a whole 24…

Ok I got my sensor out of my 2021 and it’s dry as a bone inside. I’ve got 32k on the clock. Should I still pot it?

definitely

And, yes, 12 hrs is enough time. bump you oven on and off a few minutes and put a thermometer you can read in there, if it doesn't read down to 150F. If you can keep it warm in there, say above 100F and below 200F, it will cure within the 12 hrs. In fact 5-6 hrs would be enough time if you maintain 150F or more. Just don't cook it above 200F.

I used a small hammer and a flat blade screwdriver to tap around the edges gently and break the top loose. It was much easier to clean and pot, IMO.

I ended up with a few tiny holes on the surface. Should I carve a little out a refill it?

My ‘22 at 4,600 miles was completely free of oil in the sensors. This is a great mod/fix for peace of mind (thanks @chevymitchell). Glad to have it done. Ignore the red and blue tape on them, that’s just to satisfy my crazy out of control OCD so I can know which sensor came out of which differential.

Was it the blue pill or the red pill?

Wasn’t able to get back to finishing this up and reinstalling the sensors until today. Got them back in and everything is working great. No errors showing up and lockers are engaging/disengaging as they should. I agree with what others have said, the lockers now seem to respond lightning fast compared to previous. Another successful potting logged for this awesome thread!
