I Just changed my diff fluids on my 2 door rubi 2" lifted on 35s. I drained used a can of break clean ( I was way overdue) on each diff. Then fully dried the inside with shop towels.
After filling both I used valvoline 1qt bags I had a bit left in the 3rd bag. I expected to use 3.2 qt plus overflow.
Has anyone else seen this?

That's typical to have a tad of fluid left in the 3rd bag after doing both front and rear diffs with stock diff covers .

If you have a lifted Jeep, it is possible to have the axle rotated where the fill level port is down lower. Especially in the rear, but also in the front. If you have set the caster in the front to factory specs, it should be the same angle as the OE set it and the fill level port would be in the same relative position. When you put more caster than OE, the fill level port is higher than the cavity in the axle and you will put more fluid in to get to the fill level port.

You used Brake Clean inside or outside of the differentials? If inside, you are taking a chance the solvent will attack the seals and start leaking.

Use lint free shop towels to wipe out the internals...
