It's just on the door? the price doesn't seem bad. the door can be fixed or replaced. IF the frame is good and everything else I would buy it. The rust issue can be hit or miss anyway from what I can tell both the 19 sport and rubi have no rust.
Even with 6% growth they will find owners keep the wrangler longer due to prices. I paid 42k for a loaded 2dr rubi in 2019. And with the prices I'll rebuild it before I buy a new one again. I have bought 4 new wranglers 2013,2014, 2019, and 2019.
I got 90k miles out of my ball joints in my 19 2dr rubi. Did you do the steering box recall? That got rid of my wondering wheel. if you have done a good bit of offroad then go ball joints. and check you tie rod ends thats next for mine. I alway use TeraFlex ball joints, you can't beat a joint...
My built JKU was 118. My 2019 JL Rubi with factory replacement steering box, falcon shocks, 2" poly lift and 35" with asj track bar. is 98 to rev limiter.
I just changed mine at 90k 2019 JLR w/35s sice 36k. they had some play but not that much. I only got 25k out of my 2014 JKU w/35s. I went with Teraflex adjustable in both!
Yea I would say you did it to yourself. You paid 60+hr for a guy to fill your washer fluid, change your oil, do a safety check, and look at your brakes.
I would not have changed the harness is no errors were showing just recovered and sprayed for critters.
Working on the wrangler isn't too bad...
I Just changed my diff fluids on my 2 door rubi 2" lifted on 35s. I drained used a can of break clean ( I was way overdue) on each diff. Then fully dried the inside with shop towels.
After filling both I used valvoline 1qt bags I had a bit left in the 3rd bag. I expected to use 3.2 qt plus...
35" on a rubi will fit with no lift. but with 2" and 35's looks normal to me. I wanted 37's but couldn't get during covid. Some trial req. 35" tires. I may go 37" depends I got 60k miles on these tires so far and get around 18-19 mpg so I am happy with the 35"
They keep changing the grill making it harder to clean bugs and dirt off of. A EV or hybred with 20 mile limit is worthless imo costly parts for little gain.
I did this test at 72 MPH is my 2014 JKU. with a steel bumper it doesn't roll over. it spins like a top then does a hand stand (see the U shapped teraflex monster track bar) then falls down on top of the rails! roll over? only in a mall crawling sport!
I have a 6x10 aluma tilt and the rovelite camper, I can pull 2400 lbs on the small one better then the camper that only hit 1900 lbs. I think it is the wind drag. Just like our mpg dropping 5mpg on windy days. I never noticed this in my 14 JKU Sahara so maybe it's also a Rubicon issue.
