Quick question for what I have read the JL only has Keyless enter and go on the driver, passenger, and tailgate. If you have passengers that are seating in the back seats do you still have to unlock the doors with the fob or does it unlock all doors once you pull on one of the doors with the sensors?
Couple options, here. If you grab the drivers side handle, by default, it opens only the drivers door. If you open the front passenger or rear tailgate, it unlocks all doors. Alternatively, you can adjust, via Uconnect, to have all doors open when you touch the drivers handle. This is my option as sometimes I open the door for the lady, and sometimes I don't, but I don't want her waiting whichever I do. Plus, it opens it for the boys, too.

Okay, here is a video of it on my Jeep while in the sleep mode. It was very fast and worked on the first touch.
EDIT: I took the video with my iPhone and it says it has an extension that is not allowed. Can’t figure out how to change it.
I did not do any kind of update on the U connect system

Thank you for the clarification I'm assuming you can program it on the Uconnect to lock all doors at once correct?

Locking all doors with the push of any of the three buttons is the default...and not adjustable.

I got my JL last Thursday and drove it twice, my wife drives it everyday and she never has this issue. She says it works flawlessly. We also never updated the uConnect. She said the more she uses it the faster it gets.

Keep us posted as time goes by. Mine was fine at first, then started acting up. I think it may have to do with the Uconnect, but not positive.

My wife's Honda take a second to recognize the keys - usually on the second pull of the handle. Most rental cars I get are the same way - including the ford I had a few weeks ago.

If this is really as described - it just takes a second or two - I don't think this is just a 'typical FCA creation. Sad!' type of thing, it's pretty normal.
Disagree the systems in the BMW and Mercedes that I have had, worked flawlessly. However in my dads 2017 300s and my buddys Ram 1500 ecodiesel, they have the same exact issues are described. They work right 19/20 times... but that 1/20 times is annoying AF

Place FOB in front pocket when walking up to your Jeep then gently grind your pelvis on the driver door making two counter clockwise circles with both hands gripping the top edge of the roof. Keep pelvis pressed up against door and slowly pull on the door handle whilst making a loud grunt.

Works for me every time and Im used to people staring at me :like:
LOL!!!!

I can add the video to Youtube if you are still having trouble getting it uploaded. Shoot me a PM if I can help.

Yeah, based on Goes’ and Fibr3’s experience without the update, that may very well be the culprit.
As I mentioned earlier, that made a lot of sense to me as an explanation of your working/not working scenario. Seems like that update busted a whole mess of things.

The “nice” thing about this issue is that it can be updated through programming code. They just need their programmers to triple check their work before they release an update. Vehicles are getting more complex because they’re essentially driving computers in attempt to make things easier for the user (but not necessarily the traditional mechanics).

I haven't checked, but is there anyway to restore the previous version? Hmmmmm....

Supposedly not. That was mentioned in the initial complaint.

I am hoping to test drive the Rubi tomorrow, so will ask my tech contact then.

Ooooo, be sure and check the keyless entry. But, you'll have to remember to give it a couple minutes, once locked, so it can go into sleep mode. That is usually when the instrument cluster screens finally turns off as its the last. The main screen goes off first, followed by the cluster one, later.
