2021 3.6 eTorque, steel bumpers, hardtop, AT tires - 16.39 mpg over 16,000 miles, calculated by dividing miles by gallons of gas, not the dash computer generated mpg. Mileage varies with type of driving and load.

I couldn't find a dedicated thread but am dissapointed with our low real life mpgs, so here it is:

I start with ours:
3.6 pentastar eTorque in Rubicon 2021 hard top, 4.1 gears, stock 33" tires, steel bumpers, winch, standard fuel:
14-15 mpg as daily driver (mostly city, little highway) - sticker says 21 combined, 19 city
high 13s only after GOBI rack install

I was wondering what MPG you get out of your Rubicons?
Maybe there is something wrong with ours...
I have almost your exact Jeep and get the mileage you get around town. Remember, it is around 5,000 pounds.

While I love reading threads like this, these lack any sort of scientific rigor that would make any of this accurate or usable.

To understand MPG correctly, we'd need to crowd-source that information in a way that standardizes it across all those reporting their MPG, including reporting number of doors, trim, tire size, additional weight from mods, engine, and speed driven.

This has been an idea of mine for a while now, guess it's time to write this up and request input from the community.

My 4xe's have 470ft/lbs of torque, I didn't feel like paying 40k more for 95hp more oh and I spend a wee bit less on fuel :)
😂😂😂😂 line up a 4xe next to a 392 XR on a track, then see what the 95hp difference feels like and which one is more fun💪💪💪 Your numbers mean ZIP comparing an ICE to a hybrid! That hybrid has too many “conditions” to be satisfied to be fun, and too much complexity between the 2.0 ICE, battery charger and electric motor to be “smooth fun”. Just a bunch of quirky/Jerky! Get your 4xe on the highway for over a hundred miles and then see what kind of performance you get when the battery is drained😆. My wife and I have already test driven the golf cart, I mean 4xe and were not impressed. We actually have a 4xe reserved through Turo for an out of state trip in mid September. We wanted to rent a Jeep to see how we would like it on the highway, before our 392 XR is delivered around October. It’s almost impossible to find a 392 to rent or even test drive for that matter 😆😆🤤. I’ll report back again after around 700 miles of 4xe experience 🧐 stay tuned 😎

ok.........sounds like you did a lot of assuming but other than a 392 wrangler, haven't come across a faster wrangler....

I still have an ICE 2.0T to be exact.

That hybrid has too many “conditions” to be satisfied to be fun, and too much complexity between the 2.0 ICE, battery charger and electric motor to be “smooth fun”
You mean just mashing the gas and going. It always has 375hp 470tq it never runs out it always has a battery charge

Get your 4xe on the highway for over a hundred miles and then see what kind of performance you get when the battery is drained😆
Again i've driven on the highway lots with 0% battery charge, except 0% battery charge on the dash is actually 15% available in the HV battery, its been proven in many youtube videos and real world testing all the power is ALWAYS available. I did 16 passes at a 1/4 mile track, never got slower even with 0% battery charge.

Sucks to suck.....

I'd love to line up with a 392, still beat it off the line yes it would catch up and pass me not denying that. But again 40000$ for 95hp (i'm in Canada) no thanks........oh and the 4xe makes its torque 1000rpm sooner (dyno verified as well)

My HP Tuners smart access cable comes in this week so I can start the process of getting it tuned.

That was fun good job on making assumptions and being completely wrong. Keep embarrassing your self.

'21 JLUR 2.0T. Stock tires and gears. Mileage is about 19 around town. On the highway it is very dependent on speed and wind. Driving with a tailwind at 60 mpg in Saskatchewan I got 26. Driving 75 into a Nebraska headwind I got 13. Overall, through 29,000 miles I'm sitting right at 19.4 (miles/gallons. Dash computer consistently reads 2 mpg higher than actual)

Interesting… Jeep model owners bickering in a MPG thread:clap:

It doesn’t matter what model you own. It is a Jeep and not a single model meets the CAFE standard minimum MPG for its year. So enjoy what it is. It will be outlawed soon enough.

I have a 392XR I'm fine with the MPG, I just wish it had a 30gallon tank. Towing a small single axle utility trailer from NY to FL with the cruise set to 72 I was around 13 and on the next trip I wanted to see what I could get if I kept it under 70 (no trailer this time). With the cruise set to 68 I got around 17 (sorry for the blurry pic it was at night).

With factory 33s the 3.0 was 22.3 mpg average , after 2.5” suspension lift and 35” tires , 19.7 average, slightly impressive!

It gets more ironic/idiotic when the lift and tire request for said wranglers threads appear.
