I think Fox had some issues with a batch and they pulled back. They were probably retrofitting it but that is my guess. Unless you have an emergency situation (like death wobble), I suggest you wait a bit to buy the updated ones (possibly from Quadratec).Question... the original post in this thread dated back in August 2018 says he installed a FOX-985-24-173, and a few others said they also ordered, installed it. But when I called Quadratec and others today, they show the Fox 985-24-173 as pre-order. They said they never had them in stock and won't be available until sometime in Dec 2018. See link below that shows the pre-order status. How did the posters above get it when they say they never had it for sale yet? Very confused, please advise. Thanks!

I got mine a few months ago from ORW and they're still available there today.I think Fox had some issues with a batch and they pulled back. They were probably retrofitting it but that is my guess. No they do not.Do they make a dual steering stabilizer kit with the Fox 2.0 shocks?
Did you try to compress it by hand before or during the install? I tested it first by hand and it always quickly kept pushing back out to fully extended position.I installed the same one, purchased a few months ago from quadratec, haven't had any issues or pulling to the right.

I did compress it by hand, yes. i noticed it started to expand on its own afterwards. I remember when installing it I had to compress it repeatedly until I finally got both ends in place. it didn't expand rapidly, but just enough to be annoying on install.Did you try to compress it by hand before or during the install?
