In this case, the easiest and most precise way of troubleshooting a suspected blown fuse is replacing it with a good fuse, especially if the person doing the troubleshooting is not familiar or comfortable with checking continuity.
If someone isn’t capable of checking continuity, they really shouldn’t even touch the cable nuts.

And how do you know the "good fuse" is actually good without checking continuity?

If you don't have a multimeter and have a basic knowledge of how to use it you shouldn't even think about troubleshooting JL electrical issues. You're like a blind person attempting to drive.

Tell that to all the people that are stranded with the symptoms of a blown N3 fuse and get unstranded by moving the N3 cable to the N4 terminal.

This quickly spiraled into a n3/n4 battle! ?

There is a chance you will have to replace both batteries again if you go the route of retaining the aux. Ive had friends who just replaced the main, then like an earlier post stated, the bad aux damaged the main. So you might have to get an aux then have your main tested and if damaged, hopefully they warranty replace it.

But they generally got there because they were messing with battery cables without proper handling procedures.

And no warning that this could possibly turn your Aux Switches into self destruct buttons. Robbing Peter to pay Paul can be a workaround but you need to be aware of what you're doing.

What? N4 is a spare fuse. What are you talking about?

My wife was parking the Jeep and this shut off before finish the parking. Tried start again and nothing. We tried start the Jeep with help of jumping start and nothing. The starter just click, I review some fuses and relay (starter, gas pump and other and they appear good. We took off the starter and tested and this is working.

The main battery is new, The small battery (start/stop system) is not working (need replacement). I saw in YouTube some videos related to issues with the start due to small battery but none related with sudden shut off.

I remove the fuse 42 and the negative cable from main battery for disable the start/stop system due to auxiliar battery need to be replaced. I will try again because main battery was discharged.

What you recommend? Any suggestion? Any similar experience?
Always remove the Positive cable, not the Negative, because that is the GROUND cable. The TJs often had issues with altitude and field mgt along with other things. When I went to Moab my TJ ran rough and what we did was undo the Positive cable and touch it to the Negative cable. What this does is it erases the tables that adjust your engine to various conditions like mountains vs sea level.

By touching the + to the - side you remove the latent charges that can affect driving conditions. In other words, your Jeep gets confused. This morning you driving down the beach and now you are at mile-high Denver and its not performing very well. NOTE over time it will sort itself out, but if you are just in Moab or Denver for a few days it may take longer to do so, this is a quick way of clearing its throat so to speak...

BUT always leave your ground cable attached.

Just because you're not using it doesn't mean its a spare for everyone else. That is were you connect an Aux PDC. Most people will have nothing connected to N4, but not everyone. If anything is connected to N4 it must be removed (and go unpowered) before moving N3 to N4.

Surely you understand how goofy your previous comment sounds. Just because you already used N4, the spare fuse, for some other purpose does not mean anything for the average Jeep owner. Referring to some add on you have made as the “aux switches” just adds more confusion.

You can move N3 to N4 regardless of whether N3 is blown or not. It's one of the easiest ways to eliminate N3 as a possible cause in a no start situation. If moving to N4 fixes it, it can be left there indefinitely if a person so chooses. I wouldn't, I would replace the fuse array so I would still have a backup fuse.
thanks a lot. I will try
Sorry to say but your old Aux battery has damaged your new Main battery. Always replace both at the same time so they are always the same age & condition. Combining a new and old battery on a two-battery system is a particularly bad thing to do if you want the batteries to last.

Be careful when looking at online videos. Many of them exhibit a lack of understanding of how a two-battery system works. Repair, maintenance and jump starting is not the same as a single-battery system and the JL should not be treated as if it has two separate single-battery systems.

If you start with a new Main and new Aux, charge them and try again, the Jeep should start right up. If you continue to have problems check the large fuses in the fuse box, particularly N3 which is easy to blow when only changing one battery. If that is blown the Aux battery won't charge correctly and will cause strange problems.

I just review the N3 and it is ok. But I couldn’t find the battery in autozone. I will wait for tomorrow and I will looking for in battery dealer.
