I did a Mopar 2" lift on my JL but it came out to about 3" in the end. I am worried about the brake lines and have heard there are relocation kits that adjust where the lines are held to the frame but I can't seem to find anything on the net. Has anyone relocated these mounts or did you just add extended lines?

Rancho makes a nice one that I used, PN RS62136 only cost about $30.

EDIT NOTES: These are for the parking brake lines and the center mounting bolt should be installed from the top of bracket down as shown and not from the bottom up as in Rancho's instructions. This is to avoid any potential rubbing of the bolt on the gas filler neck.

I've been running the Mopar 2" lift for three years now and had the same result (3" of lift). I haven't had any issues with my brake lines and I've exercised this kit to its maximum capabilities.

Those are the nicest parking brake cable brackets out of a kit that I've installed. Hands down better than any others.

While the Mopar lift does give more height than advertised, the real factor into what would strain the brake lines would be the “downtravel“ you get when fully flexing the suspension. Same with any wear and tear on the driveshaft. From what I understand, the Fox shocks paired with this lift don’t allow for enough downtravel to cause an issue with the brake lines/driveshaft.

Full disclosure: this is NOT from personal experience, but through my significant reading of these forums as I plan my own build.

I had the same exact concerns and after reading responses here I ended up purchasing the Teraflex relocation kit. In the end I now have more than enough brake line, didn't have to bleed brakes (huge win), and the kit was super easy to install.

What amount of droop (sock length) necessitates these?
Rancho includes those with their 2" lift kits.

At that length I think you may need a new driveshaft as well. If I recall correctly anything over 28" or 29" will be an issue.

For those that did the new brake line things, how did you pry the original ones from the brake line.
Just "very carefully" or is there more to it?
