That's really unfortunate because I was planning on going down the same route (Mopar beadlocks). I currently have the beauty rings and I don't like how the bolts stick out - I've already mangled a few. I'll probably end up going with the KMC beadlocks (ouch $$$). I wonder if I'll get any money for my very scratched-up Mopar beadlock-capable wheels? Maybe I can advertise them as "instant street cred" ?
The KMCs are so damn pretty ? that -38 offset has me hesitant though I’m really curious to hear from someone running them

I have the Method 702 bead locks. I run them at 10-12 psi with my 35’s and never had them loose a bead or burp air.
How long have ya had them? I have no doubt they’ll hold bead at those pressures. I think I’m curious about long term reliability more than anything at this point.

I just got them earlier this year. Nothing long term to report.
Ah, these are the “bead grips” I was talking about. Lol, I thought you were running a method beadlock. Yeah they should be reliable, no moving parts. I really like the idea of these. Gotta do find pics of your rig now. What are your wheel specs?

edit:

pics of @failsafe306 rig with the 702s for anyone interested.

I like the look, if you have a couple more pics would you care to share?

Jeep Wrangler JL Jeepeto Needs New Wheels (Help me pick!) KMC Wheels KM229 Machete Beadlock Wheel 17X9 5X5 38mm Offset Machined - Jeep Rubicon 2007-201

Northridge about to make me act up ?

Anyone running -38 offset? Any issues? Gonna have to get ball joint deletes I’m sure but they are pretty ?

I’m realizing the bead grips don’t have enough back spacing for my lift at this point so they’re probably off the table, cause I don’t want to buy new wheels and need spacers.

Plus, then I match my mini crawler ?‍♂

Method 706's get my vote.. and $271 a wheel. I do like the Icon Rebound Pro's, but having 16 different places for a air leak per wheel have somewhat swayed me.
Good point. I wonder if they use a rubber seal on each bolt hole.
I have never had bead locks. Does the same concept apply - if bolts are loose you can lose air?

I've had Method 701 Bead Grip for a number of wheeling trips and about 16000 miles.

After a trail blowout, I needed to replace a tire. The "bead grip" held the failed tire bead so well that the shop had to cut the tire off the rim. No bead breaker they had at any of the available tire shops was able to break the bead from the rim.

Now, if that trend continues and tire shops start blacklisting me from their business, I may need to reconsider.

But for now, I'm not afraid to run any trail pressure suited to the conditions of the trail.

Maybe not Zero PSI snow wheeling.

Been running the KMC Machete beadlock wheels for 2 years or so now. Bolts don't back out, recessed heads mean that they don't snag very much. There is only a tiny bit of water that doesn't drain through the rings. I did F up one wheel pretty good when a friend helped me rotate tires and the lugs weren't tight. I didn't realize it quickly enough and damaged some of the lug holes. But I had them machined and steel inserts pressed in. That wheel is probably stronger than the rest of them now.

another option is dual beadlocks as well, they are DOT approved if your into that.

Hutchinson:
https://www.hutchinsoninc.com/rock-monster-internal-double-beadlock-system/

Traction offroad:
https://www.tractionoffroad.com/

Also can't go wrong with KMC's. They do offer a 4.75" BS on the 8.5" wide wheel.
Rock monsters are $$$, I forgot about those thou, good call.

I need to maintain less than 4.5” BS with the MC lift so I’m out on 8.5” KMCs, just trying to talk myself out of hitting that buy button on the 3.5” BS wheels at the moment, trying to sleep on it if I can resist temptation ?

Damn good point on the traction off road option. I’m half convinced if I went through the trouble of removing all the broken bolts I’ve got I might have better luck using the OE rings with some HDG or zinc coated hardware. I’m just annoyed at this point. I’d feel a lot better if all my wheels were machined the same ?

Good to hear!

How much trouble did the 3.5” BS cause you? I’m on MC GC lift, with MC tie rod, and drag links, but still on factory ball joints, I’m thinking if anything I might need some dynatrac ball joint deletes and I’d hope that I wouldn’t have any issues beyond that ?any input would be appreciated there.

I love the idea of the Icon Rebound Pro's but some of the reviews I've read online say the bead-retention bolts rust out pretty quickly. That and (like you said) having that many penetrations into my rim doesn't sound bomb-proof to me.
