I typically don't do build / journals but I figured this would be fun and interesting to see how the Jeep progresses through my ownership.

What Happened: Picked up from Mall of Georgia.
Parts Added: None

Averaged 27 MPG on the 140 Mile drive back from Atlanta to Upstate South Carolina. Definitely can't complain.

What Happened: Next day, I had an appointment to get the tint done. Basically mandatory in the Deep South.

Parts Added: Ceramic Window Tint. 5% Front Windows, 15% Rear Windows / Hardtop, 45% Windshield

What Happened: Mildly big install day. I ordered the Jeep without the LED Group purposefully so I could add the style I wanted through the aftermarket.

Parts Added: Oracle Flushmount Taillights, Oracle LED Headlights, Morimoto LED Turnsignals, Diode Dynamtics Smoke Cornerlights, Bartact Grab Handles, Tazer Mini and Bulletpoint Phone/GoPro Mounts.

What Happened: Small group of co-workers and myself decided to drive to Gulches Off-Road Park for our Badge of Honor. For many of us, it was our first real challenging off road day. Unfortunately for me, I ended up tipping the Jeep over. Inexperience mixed with an unknown location. Approximately 350 miles on the clock.

Parts Removed: Left Front Fender / Wheel Liner, Left Rear Fender / Wheel Liner

What Happened: While waiting for the body shop to get the parts ordered, did a few small mods while I wait. Had to get a Molle Panel for the front, couldn't belive the Jeep didn't have any place for sunglasses. Also replaced the Air Filter, when the Jeep rolled, oil came up through the intake and saturated the filter. Threw the Fishbone Sill Guards in as well.

What Happened: More parts showed up, unfortunately they aren't getting installed until the repair date at the dealership. Don't want to take a chance at them getting upset with the Banks Tuner.
Ordered the Tazer JL Front Camera in hopes to avoid another Gulches incident.

What Happened: While the fenders / liners were off, I decided to give Motobilt's Washer Relocation a shot, I plan on getting bigger tires / lift so what better time than now. They list it as fitting a JL / JT, but it took a bit of work to get it installed. Awaiting their Customer Service and see if I possibly did something wrong. More worried about the fender liners not fitting back on.

Also my TeraFlex shorty antenna arrived, in a massive box.

That’s one way to break in a new jeep! For some reason I too have been beating the freak out of my diesel!

Wow, you certainly gave new meaning to getting your first scratch.
So do you need to replace the top....can't tell if it's cracked or not. It looks like the door took some damage as well.

Can't wait to see how the build turns out.

There's a decent amount of cracking on the inside. There's also a random hole that formed as well. Jeep gets dropped off tomorrow for repairs. Going to speak to the body shop and see if I can buy the old hardtop as a spare. Have one drilled for a roof rack / window storage etc during camping season, and then use the new one for putting around town.

A redesign is in the works as apparently the diesel JL brake booster is larger then that of the JT diesel.

Not looking forward to redoing the entire process, especially since I already drilled the frame. Hopefully those of us "early" adopters get a credit or such. I was watching the thread in the 3.0 Subforum, seems there are a few of us.
