You can actually trim this section back and gain about 1.82”s of extra clearance as well. I know you already moved your axle forward but this would help for others.
I was going to suggest similar but with some steel wire cable with a loop like you would do on a winch. Tractor supply has this in stock and it might be a solution for your particular situation
So you didn’t remove the factory tailgate catch? This would allow the door to open far enough to open the window, but likely allow the new mount to hit the tail light.

Why did you “have to buy” an extension cable? If you route the line through the vent in the back of the tailgate there is plenty of cable. Some of these photos show the tag light kit wiring but the camera cable is routed the same way.
