Jack point under frame for 2-door

Hi,

I'm about to install a lift on my 2 door JLR. However, it seems there's very limited area under the frame to put a jack stand.
On the passenger side, almost the whole frame is half covered by the gas tank skid plate. Wondering if anyone had the solution before? I really prefer not to take off the skid plate.

Find a solid spot and put the jack stand there. You'll need to raise and lower the axle free of the suspension to get the lift installed but you only need one axle at a time.

Yes that's what I'm trying to find.. "a solid spot".
With the shape of jack stand saddle, the solid spot are either too narrow, or not flat.

When I lifted mine, I just put them under the frame on the sides. If you duct tape a towel or rag rolled up in the saddle they'll conform to the odd shapes a bitt better.

I think I supported mine at the frame-side lower control arm mount. It still allowed enough droop to swap out the springs. When you find a spot, lift it slightly and then give it a good shake to make sure it’s solid.

Under the control arm mounts is a good spot, the challenge on the two-door is since it is so short, the center of balance can make using jackstands tricky

Thanks. Is the LCA frame bracket strong enough? I guess so, given they seems to be the similar thickness as frame.

I think we put them on the frame just in front of the LCA mounts. By this point we had the Rubi springs/shocks and front tires on. Don't forget to chock the front wheels too.

Right next to the LCA brackets. Firmly chock wheels. Give it a good shake to confirm it's stable with no wobble. Put tires and/or blocks underneath the frame so if it does slip off the jack stands it doesn't fall all the way to the floor.
