Hey jeepers,

Im new to the jeep world and have fallen in love with such a group of followers jeep has. Everybody is super nice and always willing to help.

This is my first post here so let me know if I’m doing something wrong.

I took my new to me jeep (bought it from my in-law. 2019 with 13k miles) to the dealer for the replacement of the seat brackets since for some odd reason they were rusting. Also to get the new steering box installed. Picked it up today and immediately noticed they scratched up the rear panel of the seat, the side cover, the center console, and for some odd reason the trunk was full of dirt and some sort of lint clumps. Also the trunk plastics got all scratched up from what I’m assuming the tech working on the front seat in the trunk?
Also noticed oil residue all over the steering box, suspension parts on the drivers side and passenger side. Along with that they left some wiring brackets in the engine bay loose and even broke a bracket that attached the coolant lines.
Very frustrated to say the least and have sent the dealer pictures and a lengthy email. Now awaiting a response. Has anybody had an experience like this at the dealer? Crazy how little the techs care nowadays.

Without before and after pictures you’re stuck unless the tech fesses up…
Despite some of these looking very fresh. This will be the case, even if the look on security footage seeing the tech being careless.

Yeah, I'd certainly bring it up politely to the service manager. Who knows, they might do something or they might blow you off.

It's no excuse, but with the current labor shortage customer service and respect have gone downhill. I'm avoiding using my dealer for anything unless it is major. Steering box thing is major bummer that they scratched up your trim pieces.

There’s a thread in this forum that’s titled something like “what’s the worst dealership story you have”. It may very well be the most interesting thread in here. You won’t believe the crap folks have gone through.
