Don’t have a video but what my hood does is more constant than that video shows. Starts somewhere above 70mph. Really gets going close to 80mph. Its a continuous verticle motion and occurs regardless of the vehicles (or 18 wheelers) around me. Seems to be getting worse too.Maybe mixing up some flexing with fluttering
Maybe. But if that Jeep was doing anything less than 99mph on that highway, that hood shouldn't be "fluttering"...loll

Two questions: How involved is the install? And, can you return them without penalty?Soooo......take the vent out and install the Morimoto side light or return them and don't mess up a good thing?
The install is pretty simple, but once installed they aren't returnable. They are held in place with snap in clips and 3M double sided tape. Two questions: How involved is the install? And, can you return them without penalty?
If the answers are not bad and yes. I say go for it. Test it on the highway for a day or two, then return if bad. Keep if good.
I just looked up the lights and found this wonderful little piece of marketing. The install is pretty simple, but once installed they aren't returnable. They are held in place with snap in clips and 3M double sided tape.
Big yikes. Seems like they don't realize it is a functional vent, not random. I went ahead and contacted them via their webpage and I will let you know if they respond.RANDOM VENT: Pull those stock vent pieces on the side of your Wrangler JL or Gladiator JT and replace them with something useful! A simple-yet-intense, safe-yet-subtle approach to sneaking some side markers to your fenders, just in case! "
That may be flexing and fluttering - but it isn't a JL.Maybe mixing up some flexing with fluttering
No one claimed it was a JL. Perhaps the 2012 Jeep Wrangler gave it away? That may be flexing and fluttering - but it isn't a JL.
A non-issue except, of course, for people with JLs that have hood flutter.JK applicable, JL non-issue.
A dealership told me that nothing was adjustable. I'll take it to another. In a high headwind at 75+ the front edge of my hood will lift and drop and while not full blown "flutter" it happens--especially when passing a tractor trailer.
What adjustments can be done? The side latches do not appear to have any adjustment, is it the center "loop" that needs to be tweaked?
That is what I am thinking too, but I have not looked at the center latch settings as it happens so infrequently, it is sort of out of sight and out of mind.A dealership told me that nothing was adjustable. I'll take it to another.
True. But considering that this is a JL forum.......No one claimed it was a JL. Perhaps the 2012 Jeep Wrangler gave it away?
