Should put this rucRak to good use with my 2dr. I hope so atleast, it was alittle on the pricey side. The shelves store upright. When you need to use them they fold down flat. You can use both sides of the bottom shelf. One side is for bikes.

I’m avoiding a roof rack for MaxTrax and fuel storage and the additional weight that would be placed higher with one. I have the Rebel Off-road window inserts that carry two “2” gallon (more like 1.8g) Rotopax.

You can also see my Blue Ridge Overland Gear attic.

It looks like you have a JLU? I think that may solve where to store my Maxtrax but it looks like they are only available for the 4 door. You posted in the 2 door storage idea thread.

I'm looking for a rack that attaches to the rollcage like this one for the TJ:

It gives a shelf when the top is on, and it sits above the deck cover when the top is off.

Anyone know of anything like this?

Vector Off-road has something but it attaches to the tub. So I’m guessing it wouldn’t work with a cover.

Yeah, being able to use it with a cover is critical. I need it for when I go camping in the summer with the top off.

BTW I love your Sarge Green 2 door. That's what I just got (Sport trim) - everyone I know raves about the color. I'm waiting for my wheels and lift to go on before I replace my TJ picture (should be sometime this week).

Thanks. I it’s the only Sarge JLR in my area that I’ve seen. Waiting for the weather to break so I can get some other stuff done to it.

**For reference above, that’s in the standard configuration with the grid panel (I do not run this). Fitted inside is a 12.5” SBR with a full size suppressor. Overall length is longer then a standard 16” AR.**

This is the Plenum by @AdvDegree. I was running their floor system for a bit, as I was going to run their full storage system. I decided against the storage system mostly because I felt it would interfere with where I want to store my soft top windows; the floor system alone was interfering and I could tell the full system would only be worse with the front seats all the way back.

The Plenum it self makes good use out of an area not normally used for anything. It’s probably better suited for someone looking to lock up long tools, such as an axe or something. I originally bought it to store a rifle between range trips and going into a restaurant for diner. For this, in it’s original form, is barely workable. It will close and lock, but it will be touching in a few areas (don’t even think about running an offset light). I personally pull the grid panel and run it without. By doing so, I can easily fit a rifle in a small bag with some mags. For me, this perfectly usable and actually preferred; maybe they will later offer it without the grid panel.

Things to note and these may have improved with later production. When opening, its rubs a bit towards the back by the sound bar. It’s anodized finish has a bit of a marbled look and it’s not nearly as durable as a rifle. It also collects a lot of dust on the inside. While I knew it wasn’t going to dust proof, it’s almost like a magnet.

I was also able to get the Plenum to run with my JTops by removing the rear bar, it fits very snug. It also doesn’t interfere with Exposed Racks system.

I would still overall recommend it and a lot of Adv Degree products are very interesting. The owner owns a 2 door and uses it. It’s not often you will find a company making stuff specifically for the only true Jeep configuration.

Has anyone seen any more storage ideas or bags for the rear wheel-well area? Something that can be installed that will not interfere with the rear seat folding function.

Anyone try the Bestop bags?
