Today was our first nice day so I took advantage by removing my doors and rear quarter windows and rolling with the Sky One Touch open. By the time the sun fell I got home and was closing everything up since it'll be cold and rainy the next few days.
As I put on my front passenger door and was tightening the top T50 nut I noticed it was very tight. I removed it and checked for cross threading (even though I finger tightened them first) and didn't see anything off. I tried again and same thing. Then I took it off and put a drop of oil on the threads. (I bought the Jeep used). I put it on and tightened and the whole time it felt 'off'.
Next thing you know the T50 nut fell out with the threaded part of the top door pin still inside. I don't really think it's imperative to remedy this issue, as the pin still slides in the door and the bottom hinge pin is still attached.

How bad do you think this is and is there a fairly simple fix?

If it is just the threaded part and pin still in place it would be no concern at all. Most that frequently remove doors leave the bolt out anyway. Mine have been off for years luckily jeep gave us a great storage solution for them.

Next time you take the doors off, throw those bolts away - I don't know anyone who re-installs them each time they take the doors off.

After the first time removing the doors those bolts never went back in. With the doors closed they can’t go anywhere. For all intents they are unnecessary.

My threads are snapping. I don't ever put the T50 bolts back on, but if my threads snap all the way, will it be an issue getting the door seated properly? Any thoughts, opinions, solutions? See picture below:

Mine are the same. Since the larger hinge bolt part is still there you'll be fine.

Hey there! Took my doors off for the first time this week and the same thing happened to me.. just unscrewing the cheap T50 bolt and it sheared off about an inch of thread. Go figure, cheap parts. The only way to repair it is to buy a new hinge. And since mine are painted silver, I would either have to match the paint, or would have to buy 8 new black hinges (replacement part is black) to make them match.. What a PITA!! Then I came across this thread and was relieved. I'll just leave the bolt out and not worry about it. I did consider the new 8 black hinges as a fun "MOD"... :)
