So on Saturday I sent a private message to Jeep cares and today Monday I got a reply..
Lydia sent me a message asking my to set an appt ASAP so I did, She stated she will be creating a case for us and assigning me a Case specialist, Waiting to hear back from her to let me know if they will be there at the dealer the day of my appt or if someone will be assigned to my case.. will keep everyone posted as to how this situation turns out..

These are my welds inspected it this morning. Not on the recall list fingers crossed. Mine was built July 16, 2018 at 6am. No QA marks on mine other than an green mark mid section of the track bar.

I got my Jeep in late July but the date was 6-18 for the build. My welds also look like yours but I'm on the recall list too.

They never heard of Carroll Shelby and Dan Gurney , but they heard of Microsoft . They don't have a wrench , but they have a mobile phone . In other words , they're stupid .

So I am on the recall list and seen “Green marks” are good?? I’ve looked under mine before the recall and it looks horrible in general. On my track bar it’s self there’s a white X?? The diver side has massive holes everywhere, and the passenger side all the way down isn’t even lined up you can see the seam all the way down the frame. There’s no way this thing is safe to drive.

Hi Guys,
maybe i can get some help here...
Got the new JL 2 weeks ago and heard of welding issue..
Did the research and on the official document says" issues between may and august production"
My MDH says April.. so i should be good right?

Not too sure i , go on the mopar site, insert the VIN, and i get a U62 (Cruise control) recall marked as completed.

Still not too happy, i contact the CHAT on the site to get more clarification and all i get is...
your vehicle was made for mexico and i need you to refer to mexico customer service???

I live in Saudi and the car is purchased new from Jeep showroom, and i was not told of the recall of the welding nor the completed recall for the cruise control.

What do i do now?

any suggestions please?

Thank you
Daniel

If you bought two weeks ago, you should be fine. There was a stop sale enforced for all Jeeps affected by the recall - meaning a dealer could not sell a Jeep that was recalled until it was cleared by FCA or repaired.

I would take a look at the track bar bracket weld just to make sure it doesn’t look horrible. If it looks ok, enjoy your new ride. If it’s off the seam, take it to your dealer.

Thank you so much.
I did check the weld on the outside and it looks good (Not a mechanic tho) did not check the internal side.
KSA can be a bit out of the usual regulations hence why i am a bit concerned..

Also is there any report of Cruise control issues after repairs as far as you know?
Many thanks
Daniel

I think the facts that you bought your Jeep after the recall was announced, your VIN isn’t listed for the weld recall, and your welds look ok, would make me not worry.

Regarding cruise control issues after the recall - I haven’t heard of any. You may want to do a forum search on it though, as I know I’ve not read every thread on here.
