so just a quick question that i was getting conflicted answers to.
when you put your jeep info in at a parts store like Napa, advance auto, auto-zone. they ask year, make, model etc etc

when they ask what engine and i tell them 3.6 liter they ask is it the 3.6 or the 3.6 hybrid.

i personally have a 2021 wrangler Rubicon 3.6 Etorque with auto transmission.
does the Etorque make it technically a hybrid or is the hybrid for the 4xe only?
i don't know what engine is in the 4xe

so i want to hear your guys take and see what you think it qualifys as?

4xe comes only with 2.0T so the Etorque is listed as a Mild hybrid like stated above

You have a 3.6 with eTorque, aka BSG (Belt Start Generator), aka mild hybrid (often confused for hybrid, like your parts counter guy).

I learned something new today. I wouldn't really consider it a hybrid, but I guess the belt generator qualifies.

thanks guys, i knew all about the etorque before i bought it and read up on it.
unfortunitly i planned to put a supercharger on it however i found out they are not available for the etorque engine.

i was just more trying to see if 1 store only calls it a 3.6 while this store right next door considers it a 3.6 hybrid.

i ask only cause my jeep had to get towed to the dealership today because i had the dash freak out and found i have a dead battery.
somehow it died in the 8 hours between work.
that battery only lasted 9 months and the tech told me "yup the factory batterys are junk"
so i was planning on buying a diehard battery, when i get my jeep back and use the new jeep battery in my teardrop trailer to run lights and a fan.
