Amen to that. Same here. Best theft deterrent ever made!So thereās another problem solved. I donāt have to take back a stolen vehicle that was driven like it was stolen, stripped and left topless in the rain. Of course I have another safeguard against that. Mine is a 6 speed. The thief will never get it backed out of the parking spot ?
Funny thoughtā¦
Dumb guy comes home after cheating on his wife with another woman. Wife goes, āAnd where have you been?!ā Dummy responds with, āOh, just out bowling with the guys.ā She then turns to him, āYou know I work for FCA, right?!ā ?
Poor dummy had no idea what was hiding under the dash of his new Jeep this whole time⦠?
Moral of the story Be honest - you never know who is tracking you or how these days!![]()

It's not tracking. It's simple event data stored in the SRS module. It's federally mandated. If an accident involving injury happens, the governing agency that did the accident reporting can pull the data to supply it for court. The insurance companies involved can also both request it. The data is usually in the form of a snapshot of the time of accident and a certain amount of time before and after. It shows all the inputs and outputs around the accident event.Speaking of tracking, has anyone figured out how to disable the black box data, that insurance and police use, when your are in an accident?
Off topic, but beautiful boxers! We have a white pit/boxer mix and a brindle Great Dane/boxer mix. They are our fifth and six boxers, but our first mix breed boxers. Now I know, the guys at Ice Hockey are right, I'm getting slow!
thats not from this stuff, thats from your uconnect.I get regular emails with such data as oil life, tire pressure, recall info, etc. I also get emails after airing down tires stating my Jeep needs immediate attention. I assume thereās a similar device installed somewhere but I havenāt found it yet.
Did you have your Jeep serviced lately? Use a valet lately? To answer several at once:
I have the 7ā stereo so donāt have GPS.
This was a custom order. I have read dealers install this.
pictures attached. Found straight forward of the door plug behind the panel.

Mine was a special order jeep and my dealer made me sign a piece of paper saying I don't want a LoJack tracker device. It is something they offered and I said NO.Did you buy your Jeep off the lot or was it special ordered? I would think this something the dealer would install..
My guess is that they put trackers in each car while in transit to make sure no Jeep "falls" off the truck! Maybe they just forgot to remove it.I got a text yesterday welcoming me to LoJack. Didnāt realize I had it. Emailed the salesman, he said it was put on by mistake but I wasnāt charged for it. Said I could keep it or bring it in & they would remove it. Think Iām gonna get it removed. Just picked up my custom order last Friday. I have 7ā U-Connect so no GPS. Might be tied into the Sirius Guardian system?? Not real sure ??ā![]()
this is 100% truth. i have the 6speed and damn the reverse gear is just as tall as the first gear and it causes jolting if you dont go the right speedI was referring to the JLUs HORRIBLE gearing for the reverse gear.
