I love parking my 392 in an EV charging station parking spot, it makes me smile every time. You have to cherish little things in life.
Usually a $150 ticket and a tow fixes that behaviour, there was a dick with a Dodge RAM that did this at the retail center near me, they banned him from the garage, now he have to pay for street parking a block away, his wife doesn't smirk anymore, especially during winter.

I think even the split second delay when accelerating can be a hazard. Rolling the dice on a restart is scary.
That happens with another EPA item for manuals, at least in the V8 performance cars. Around 1996 or so, they started installing a solenoid in the transmission that would “lock out” 2nd/3rd gear, forcing you to shift from 1rst to 4th. If you were at a certain speed and certain throttle position, it would activate. All in the name of emissions.

So if you’re accelerating from a stop light and this solenoid kicks in, you’re fighting with the shifter trying to get it into second gear. That little bit of a delay getting into 4th gear is dangerous as hell. The first time it happened to me, I was almost rear ended. I thought my shifter had broken, then was told about the solenoid.

I promptly disabled it permanently. It’s a manual FFS.

Getting a thrill from being spiteful sounds kind of childish.

At least you could permanently disable it. If doing it threw a code you would have to re enable and clear it every two years here or flunk the smog test. … Ca wouldn’t register my GC until I got the unwanted “add auto park” recall completed. :swear: I’m safe now , but with a touchy sh!tty shifter.

Before you get your panties in a bunch maybe you should take a second and contemplate that not all areas are the same. I don’t live in Boston, NY or LA. I live very rural and there are only a few charging stations and NOT ONE OF THEM is designated strictly EV parking only. Also consider that living this rural it is very rare that you see an EV, maybe one a month so the chance of me actually blocking someone from the charge is slim to none. I’d like to see them tow the fully loaded log trucks weighing 80k lbs that block 8 parking spots including the EV station when the drivers go in for coffee. I should apologize for my dick behavior and say I’m sorry for a harmless little joke I should have known someone would overreact and I guess I should have gone into more depth and explained my childish behavior, but I’m not sorry so lighten up.

Lol you are getting into a lot of semantics to justify your bad behaviour 😂

You said you are blocking the EV charger with your 392, and in a tone of spite, now it's some lumber hauler as if to draw sympathy that you are a victim of EV chargers taking up space you are entitled to.

An EV charger is an EV charger, it's basic common sense what it's purpose is for, just like it basic common sense as to what your motives are for purposely blocking it to prevent people from charging.

Regardless of your stance on EVs, it's inconsiderate behavior, and you should really try and think twice before bragging about it regardless of how humorous you might find it. Now more than ever people really need to stop being so inconsiderate.

It’s one thing if a space isn’t marked specifically for EV’s (they usually are) but that’s not what you said. You said:

That really does sound trashy and immature.

Ok I’m going to say it once more because I think you missed it, THEY ARE NOT DESIGNATED EV PARKING SPOTS, ANYONE CAN PARK THERE. The small businesses in the area can’t give up spaces specifically for EV vehicles that rarely use them. So again ANYONE can park in them. It just happens to be a parking spot with a charger on a post. 9 times out of 10 they are already taken by another ICE vehicle. If you feel the need to come police the area for parking infractions that the business owner won’t even enforce then be my guest. Maybe the EV community will give you a medal for all your heroic deeds.

Yet the EPA did not mandate those lockouts. It was a handful of our manufacturers (primary GM) that used shitty techniques to attempt to game the system. If the EPA had mandated it then the Mustang would have had the same warts as GM's performance cars, but it didn't.

How would you feel if you went to the only gas station (potentially per your own description) in a whole tank's range of fuel, and found that every pump was taken by people in the diner next door eating dinners? It happens to me as a Diesel owner all the time, and as an EV owner, so I can assure you it's more than annoying.

You are a trash human, plain and simple.

It's like saying the gas pump isn't designated ICE spots, you know like the dicks that block the pump to go shopping at the gas station, people feel entitled regardless of what kind of vehicle they drive.

People blocking the school pickup and drop off parking spots also cry victim like you.

In my non rural city it takes us less than a minute to report these vehicles using the city website, after they get the $150+ fines and possible tow, it seems to deter repeat offences. 😂

if you dont consider any other factor like wear then yeah, its obviously going to be more better-er.
No, it's not obvious at all to most people. That's why the video does a comparison of how long people think it takes to break even (3.6 minutes of idling) to reality (~7 seconds of idling).

I would have thought it'd be 20 to 30 seconds, not ~7.

WOW!
Ok, so yeah many times during the summer months the local gas station gets completely plugged with Canadian bikers. They go in the store get food, take their sweet time and nobody can get to the pumps. And you know what I do? I wait. I have to get OFF-road diesel as well, every tourist that goes through town blocks the off road pump all the time because it’s off to the side and seemingly unused. You know what I do? I wait. Is it the end of the world? Nope. Did I die? Nope. It’s called patience.

But I have never called some a trash human not knowing the circumstances of the area they live in.

Do you think those people brag about how much they enjoy doing that to you? That they cherish the thought of it?

Sorry if that's inaccurate, but that's how you portrayed it:
I love parking my 392 in an EV charging station parking spot, it makes me smile every time. You have to cherish little things in life.
