I put 5-10, I bought 3 brand new ones over the years, 2012, 2016, and this one 2021… All daily drivers, and plan on retiring this year. Got only 30,000 on my 2021, so should be good for a while!

I do regret selling my older Jeeps but they were basic vehicles. Any experienced mechanic could rewire, repair, replace (aftermarket of fabricate), almost everything on the old Jeeps and other vehicles. In my opinion, that won't be able to be done years from now. I would ask a tech how long to keep a vehicle. Are parts available? Are computer updates available? Are the repairs needed just a temporary fix where other parts will failing spite of or because of the repair? I would trust the techs to make the call.
This isn't terrible advice. But, I bought the Jeep to be a fun, off-road capable, somewhat reliable daily driver. Once that has run it's course and it is not reliable as a daily get rid of all the complicated stuff and make it simple. Different motor with stand alone ECU not tied to any other systems with screens for gauges. As things stop working get rid of the complicated crap behind it and get simple aftermarket or older stuff.
Once a Jeep is old enough it really gets it's true meaning: JEEP - Just Everyone Else's Parts.

With no real problems for both a 2018 JLR & 2019 JLUR both at close to 70K. Why start over.
Goal was to buy a vehicle that wont go out of style, A vehicle that is fun to drive, had a solid foundation(Rubi's). CUSTOMIZE & PAY IT OFF. Then fix what's needed and get out of the rat race by
Stop chasing new stuff... ✌🫡

Plan? When it either becomes annoying or pisses me off, it’s out. There’s no planning for that.

And it's a 4XE....I know...shocking!
Just curious, as to the replacement cost for the 4XE battery is? Have you priced them, and what is the life expectancy of them?

I'll drive it til it blows then I will take it out in the desert and sit in it to watch one last sundown. Then Blow the F*&^%&er up. A Viking funeral, tears will be shed. I love my Jeep.

Viking set their dead a drift in the ocean/lake, on a boat with tinder, then shoot flaming arrows at the raft. My type of funeral.

I am in for the long haul. In my late fifties, do hopefully another 25 to 30 years.

I just dumped a little over $10,000 into putting a new 60 front axle into the jeep and some various other maintenance stuff.
That's sounds like a gateway to 42s ;)

I've found the estimates around $12k plus labor through the dealership right now but I've had electric cars since 2015 so have some reference points on the decreasing costs of batteries and repairs.

The battery warranty is good until December 2032, so basing my decisions on the warranty timeline as well. Fairly confident this battery will need to replaced under warranty before then even though currently it's still super strong ( 2.5 years later ). The expected warranty replacement certainly impacts my evaluation.

China has LFP batteries down to around $100/KWH but it's still around $120ish/KWH outside China, obviously including the US.

NMC packs carrying a slightly larger premium like $20 more or so per KWH.

At around $100/KWH without subsidies you start to get the cost parities against gas vehicles, and the general push is to drive down costs to $75/KWH or less by 2030.

Will all that happen? Who the hell knows. I think so. But i've been wrong before. Once. I think.

Or the thing might just spontaneously combust and melt to the ground tomorrow in which case I'm involuntarily in the "until it blows up" category.
