I've got a start/stop disablizer but I still shut the engine off if I can see I'll be sitting more than 15 seconds at a stop light or train crossing, or drive thru fast food window.

Sorry for the loss of your dear wife. Sounds like you had quite the adventure on the road. Seems like you're dealing with the "aging thing" better than many of us. Congratulations.

The whole chrome radiator, grill and bumper thing is butt ugly, but I kinda like what they did with the rest of it, the bed and old style fenders. It works with the black.

I tried the OP method when we first got our 2019 Wrangler. For me the problem was, life. I get so busy doing so many different things at once that when I hopped in the Jeep, with other stuff occupying my brain, I occasionally forgot to turn off the stop/start, and I hated the engine dying at the...
I feel your pain. Learned the muddy water hole lesson about forty years ago when I took my original Toyota 4X4 pickup thru a MWH after a couple other trucks. Ended up completely filling the alternator with mud, leaves and small twigs. Barely limped it home. Had to take the alternator completely...
Can't speak to the Thule, but I have a Yakima SingleSpeed tray hitch rack and it fits perfectly on my 2 door JL the way the rack comes from the factory. It clears my spare tire and fits snuggly into my CURT 2" receiver. No need for extensions.
My rack is for one bike, but Yakima makes a...
I'm curious if this is Bikini Pearl or just Bikini. From the pics it's hard to tell if it's a metallic blue or just an opaque blue using the same base blue as Bikini Pearl used.

I first tried to build a Willy's and it wouldn't let me mate the V6 with the auto trans, then I tried to build a Sport S the same way, and again it did not let me choose that option. Didn't try it with a Rubi. Maybe it is only available on the more expensive models.

Maybe I've been under a rock for too long, but pricing out a new Wrangler, I see you can no longer get the 3.6L V6 with the 8 speed auto trans. The pricer forces the 2.0L I4 on you if you want the auto trans.
When did that happen?

Used to park our Jeep across from where we stored the garbage cans, until the local raccoons decided the hood of the Jeep was a great place to sit and eat the stuff they pulled out of the garbage. After a few mornings of finding dirty raccoon tracks all over the black Wrangler hood, along with...
Had a neighbor twenty some years ago who had a CJ-6. I'd never seen one before, looked like a stretched CJ-5. Not sure where he got it, but it was the base for his rock climber, before I realized that was a sport. He said the longer wheelbase made all the difference in what he was able to climb...
Watched that as a kid in the 1960's. Neighbors babysitter had a Jeep CJ and was really kind to us. We had very realistic looking toy guns back then and we talked her into letting us tie a toy 30 caliber Browning machine gun to the roll bar and she drove us around the neighborhood. I'm sure we...
Congrats on the soon to be new arrivals.
I love our 2-Door, but it's not practical if we wanted to have kids or adults ride in the back seat. Sure, a couple/three times a year maybe, but on a regular basis, not happening. If you can be comfortable with it being a one or two person vehicle, by...
I don't think it's a bad looking grill. Wonder if it will bolt up to a 2019 with no serious modifications. Would appreciate the higher air flow.

Just got notification of this via snail mail today. Will probably not op-out of the class action. Knocking wood, our 2019 2-Door has had no issues, hopefully it won't. But if this gives us 8 years and 90,000 miles of warranty on the steering damper/issue, I don't see that as a bad thing.
