Hood shocks - anyone installed?

Anyone else put hood shocks in their JL?
Got some from online, and the new ones work spectacular! Better than the ones I had before.

They pop out easily if you need the hood to lay on the windshield.

Think I'll be gifting a set to my mom and her BFs JLs. Should of came from the factory with these.

Those are the ones I had at first. 8 or 9 months and they just didn't keep the hood up anymore, it'd slowly close on me.

Oh that's no good. No prob here. About 13 months in. Large temperature changes. Did you contact them?

My Redlines were replaced under warranty for that very reason. The current pair work very well.

IIRC, the strut design was upgraded (for improved performance) between my original purchase date and when I inquired about a replacement set.

I actually got the cheapest ones on Amazon for my JL a few years ago and they have been great. I am not sure what kind that are, they are just plain black.

Jeeps should definitely come stock with these.

i got the Redline struts a few years back. was one of the first things i did, and have had no problems with them since.

i also got the Carbon sleeves for them; partly for a little subtle underhood bling, but mostly to hide the garish logos.
