i got the Redline struts a few years back. was one of the first things i did, and have had no problems with them since.

i also got the Carbon sleeves for them; partly for a little subtle underhood bling, but mostly to hide the garish logos.
Genius upsell... make ugly logo, sell cf cover! $$$

In all seriousness, I will not consider certain bumpers because of their dumb logo worked into the fabrication. Make that sh!t a removable plate or something!

In regard to the logo on the Redline Hood Strut offering..... the logo peels off easily and there is no remaining residue after you peel them off.

I did remove the logo and I added the carbon fiber covers offered/sold by @Redline Tuning.

Terrific offering the Redline tuning offering is. No way would I buy and install another brand of hood lift struts..

For those that want hood lift struts, I strongly encourage you to go with the Redline Tuning offering. Read here and when you order use the forum discount code.

Redline here too. Took the Jeep in for a warranty repair to replace the coolant recovery bottle near the firewall. I joked that the tech was going to be pissed because of the struts. He tried to remove them but didn't want to apply too much pressure so he left them in place. We had a good laugh about .5 hours of labor for him and .5 hours of labor for not being able to open the hood all the way.

After I okayed it, a couple techs came out to disconnect and reconnect them as they had not tried to do so before.

I actually got the cheapest ones on Amazon for my JL a few years ago and they have been great. I am not sure what kind that are, they are just plain black.

Jeeps should definitely come stock with these.
More than likely they are from Pandaland.

I have redlines on our two jeeps, one of the jeeps I open the hood twice a week for two years, still work flawlessly

I installed Redline Hood Struts on my 2018 JL in 2019 when the JL only had 22 thousand miles on it.

Over 6 yrs later and over 100,000 miles later and the Redline Hood Lift Struts still do the deed well.

Yes, the hood on that JL gets opened pretty much daily, year round. Sometimes / often opened more then once daily.

I open the hood when I park the vehicle in the garage as air movement in the garage is minimal and I want to let heat dissipate from under the hood when in the garage.

Redline here, love them. I bet they won't work on a 392 hood, they seem to be much heavier due to the water management stuff bolted to it.

@MauiSteve

Actually, the @Redline Tuning Struts they have specifically for the 392 hood, work great.... they do the deed well.

Per Redline Tuning posts:

The gas springs for the Mojave system are 25% stronger due to the steel hood.

The gas springs for the 392 system are 50% stronger due to all the plastic cladding directing air attached to the underside of the hood.

Tired again
Those are the ones I had at first. 8 or 9 months and they just didn't keep the hood up anymore, it'd slowly close on me.

Check warranty. They should last a LOT longer than that. We have these struts (NOT Redline) on machines at work that hold up covers. These "hoods" are opened and closed countless times per day, and the struts easily last year or more.

When I ordered the kit for my JL, I wasn't surprised to find they were the same brand name- Stabilus Lift-O-Mat. Not sure if Redline makes their own, or rebadges the Stabilus, but for Jeep purposes, they should last years...
