I've been running a pair of $6 LED headlights from China for the last week. They're doing pretty damn good. I need to get out there and adjust the headlight assembly height. They're aimed too high right now, but after I do I will post a review of them.

Yeah by the way, that is right, $6. It was like $5.31 or something like that with free shipping

Like I said it needs some adjusting of the beam, but pretty damn good for $6 H13's!!

I have ran the sv.4 for three years now. Hands down way better than the OEM bulbs and way cheaper. Its a good solution while you save up for LED headlights. I plan to eventually go full LED headlights down the road.

In your opinion.... do the 7" look like they belong? Don't want to put them in and regret it.
Not in my estimation, no.

Granted, aesthetics are subjective. I don't really like the medicated look, so to speak, that many LED headlight assemblies cause the Wrangler to have. Thus my continued interest in upgrades for the halogen housings.

What you prefer for your vehicle is the correct answer. ?

Here's an interesting testimonial video from a guy that owns both the factory LED equipped Jeep and a halogen equipped jeep with SV.4 bulbs.

Headlight Revolution's SV.4 $200 headlights, which are more than likely manufactured in China. In fact I can't seem to find any information whatsoever as to where they are made. The company has zero claims that they are made in the United States. About the only information I can find is where they are based, which is a fairly small facility in Atlanta Georgia, which includes their (physical location) store and is also their headquarters.

About the only thing I can find beyond their location is their claim that they test every single item they sell before they sell it.

Also states their mission to discover the world's best headlight upgrades. Which in turn kind of says that they don't manufacture them themselves.

For whatever reason there's a stigma that headlights made in China are poor quality regardless of the fact that majority of headlights sold in the United States are in fact manufactured in China.

So my only question is why would you pay $200 for headlights from China when you can pay under $20 for headlights from China that do the exact same thing?

What are you really paying for?

Unfortunately there's this weird stigma that people have, that if you're paying more for something you're getting better quality. And unfortunately that's just simply not true.

Pretty much all LED headlights last about the same amount of time. The lumen output on the chips matters as well, but because vehicles only output so much wattage per headlight, the difference in lumens between different types of LED chips is going to be so minor you will not be able to tell the difference between them.

I bought these about a year ago maybe a little more. H13's. The time it cost me about $16 with free shipping. They are really really nice quality, they look exactly like the picture shows. I was running them in my work van for a couple months until they took my work van away from me. I just went looking for them in the garage, but they're probably in a box somewhere.

Really nice high quality headlights from China, ZERO reason to be spending any more than $20 on headlights

That's the $200 question, isn't it? My question is: why would you believe that every LED bulb made in China performs the same regardless of cost?

They don't.

My current $6 headlights are definitely noticeably cheaper than my $13 ones I've been running for the last 5 years. However when it comes to providing light, they're still better than the halogens.

Regardless, my $13 headlights are super freaking bright. Couldn't tell you exactly how bright, but I guarantee you they're on par with the $200 SV.4

I'm actually about to go out and adjust my headlight assembly angle right now. I'll probably be posting the thread here before too long.

Got a lux measurement on the $13 bulbs at 25 ft? I have a lux meter and can measure the SV.4.

I'm considering doing a bulb swap. Just curious with those who have already done so, did you pull the grill to get access or go in from the back to access the bulbs? I've seen videos with both methods.

Back. it was super easy. Pull the air filter box and gain access from the rear.

How do the 7" Oculus look? Aren't the Mopar fixtures 9"? I've looked at so many different things now that I'm confusing myself!
Oculus are 9".

Here's mine:

Because not everything made in China is the same quality. There is good stuff made in China and there is junk. The difference? That good stuff costs more.

The idea that $20 headlights from China "do the same thing" as $200 headlights from China is ridiculous.

OMG no. So much no. NO NO NO.

There are MASSIVE differences in output, and MASSIVE differences in lifespan.

Question for you - you said you have been running a $6 pair of bulbs for a week now - what happened to that $40 pair you were hawking in that last thread about LED bulbs? Burned out?

Forget the meter - just ask for a beam pattern shot. You won't need anything more.

If you live anywhere near Texas, or if you're ever in North Texas area. I'm down.

Or anyone else in the area for that matter.

Just finished adjusting my headlights, about to make this thread.

Y'all are going to love this title. It's going to be a new series. Kind of like the dux sux series, it's going to be like that title wise.

I've asked something similar already but am still undecided on what to get. The halogen headlights on my 2021 JL are just awful, and my eyes aren't getting any better as I get older. I am at the point where I need to change what I have. If I go with a lamp replacement, what is recommended? Will they flicker? My mind is spinning from the amount of research I've done to really come away without answers. I've looked at Lasfit LS plus (will they flicker)? Also SV.4's (will they flicker)? I'm open to any recommendations.... Thank you all!
I converted all the halogen lights on the front of my 2019 JLU. I installed the factory headlights that I bought as a kit from All Mopar Parts. It was easy except adding the halo wiring harness. That was extremely difficult because you have to add the included wiring harness to the connector on the body control module. The difficulty was the lack of space in the kick panel.

I installed used DRL/Turn signals (make sure they include the wiring harness) which was plug'n play and I installed KC Highlites fog lights.

After installing those, I used a Tazer Mini to flash the BCM and change the lights to LED.

I had to aim the headlights afterwards and did so by following directions found in several UTube videos.

My taillights were LED from the factory because they are included with the trailer towing package that came on my Jeep.
