Was driving down a road at about 35mph and crested over a hill and there was stand still traffic. Unusual because the road never has traffic, except for today. So I slam on the brakes, swerve right, and clipped the car in front of me.

Pretty sad about the whole thing but thank god everyone walked away uninjured.
But the other vehicle got towed.

Just a reminder, stay frosty folks.

Jeep is still drivable, but it definitely got messed up in the wreck. We’ll see what insurance does. That’s how the cookie crumbles!!!! lol

Bummer. Glad no one was hurt. Accidents happen, insurance will take care of you
Thanks man, I appreciate that. I’m pretty bummed out but things happen. Could’ve been a lot worse.

Retired from Corrections....I have stories.
Aaagg but a mer scratch. Time to upgrade. a decent steel bumper and you probably would have had little to no damage.

Insurance and luck should hold you out. Glad there is no injuries. Thanks for the reminder to stay frosty.

Last car that "clipped" me.... we settled out of court for the cost of my vehicle and $80,000 after lawyers took his cut.

I suspect you have more damage than is readily evident. A lot of the damage you inflicted on the Nissan was from tire contact. Bent suspension parts, axle, and frame damage is possible…if not likely. Perhaps not severe but will need to be addressed. Glad you were ok…stuff can be repaired.

It’s a reminder to never drive with low budget insurance, cost of an accident can rack up really fast. Glad no one was injured.

I glad everyone are OK. Sorry to hear we get too comfortable in our own stomping grounds. I am guilty of that and have been lucky so far that something snaps me out of it before it is too late.

I agree completely. I’m gonna take it to a local place that only works on off-road vehicles and get them to do the damage assessment before USAA send an adjuster or whatever.

An OEM Bumper is way more expensive than some aluminum bumpers with winch mounts. I want to see if there’s a way I can work it so that my jeep gets repaired and upgraded at the same time. To be fair, I don’t know a lot about the subject either. So this is all new to me. Still sad tho. Lol

Doubt it in this case. He rear ended someone. Premiums go boom so hell be paying back this accident for the next few years
I do have accident forgiveness and my last at fault accident was back in 2015, so I think I should be ok.
