Something like that happened to my daughter at the shopping mall when my Jeep was new. I used a floor jack between the tire and bumper and jacked the bumper back to position. It was totally unnoticeable after that.

Well, it finally happened.. was taking my daughter to the park and someone ran a red light. I tried to stop but wasn't able to, collided at probably 5 - 10mph.

Have the standard plastic bumper and it bent it back a bit, making it rub on the tire. Other than that, there appears to be no damage on my end. I plan to take it in and get it all checked out through insurance as I'm aware there can be unseen damage elsewhere.

Just curious if anyone has been in a similar situation, I do not want to lose this jeep and hope there isn't frame damage. Not sure how fast we'd have to collide for that to even happen. Either way, glad no one was hurt and it could be worse.

Maybe it's finally time for the aftermarket bumper

If you do a more heavy bumper it may do more frame damage as wreck will always bend the weakest part first It will absorb the shock

My son rear-ended another lifted Rubi two months ago. (See photo). 5-10 mph impact. $9k in repairs. Insurance company used salvage parts for the fender, quarter panel, hood and grill. Bumper and lights and under-liners were new. Frame actually needed to be slightly straigtened. Amazingly, radiator was ok. No leaks. Wheel bearings ok. Jeeps are crazy expensive when damaged.

Thankfully no further damage, I had it checked out elsewhere.. they're cutting me a check for 1,000 so the search is on for something new.

Took the old bumper off today and put the new one on with fog lights and the front winch plate for the cable. The winch will be next weekends project. Got a really good deal on a smittybilt xc9500.

The hardest part was getting the bumper off on the side where the hit was, as the brackets were trapped behind the bent bumper. No other damage was found, excited to get the winch on!

When discussing the claim we spoke about damages, and I asked if they could give me a range of the damage caused by my vehicle as the result of them making a mistake since I know they can't disclose the amount of another persons claim. They said between $6k - $8k.
