Got the V41 recall work done

Just had the V41 completed... Definitely made an improvement... Was experiencing constant correction when hitting bumps etc.. Hard to keep in straight line (also had to keep both hands firmly on the wheel)..
The "jolt" when hitting bumps had definitely diminished (was able to drive with less correction).. Time will tell...

I have my work set for Saturday. Having only been in the Jeep a week I hope it fixes any of the issues I've noticed.

I have had many Jeeps before so I was expecting a unique drive but this seems to be pretty loose. Let's see what happens.

I have a new JL Rubicon with the v41 listed in my mopar account, but zero issues so far. I will just wait until my first service to take care of it.

Very happy so far, noticable difference...
Steering feels firmer when driving, very little jolt felt after hitting bumps etc...
April production date...( Probably have the updated Trac bar)...

My Rubi was built late April 2019 and already has all of the updated parts (I checked the PN tags under the front end). Is your Jeep an April '18 or '19 build. If '19, it should've already had the revised parts?

April 6th production date.. Had the older steering stabilizer shock..updated with newer..
Looks like I have the updated Trac bar.. Must have been a production run change

Hi @JeepCares I decided to give it a few weeks of driving to really make a determination of whether the recall work helped my issues or not. It hasn't and the wandering nearly caused me to have an accident on the highway yesterday. I sent along a PM this morning regard the issues.

I had mine replaced about a week ago and the new damper is significantly better. More stable over bumps and rough surfaces but did nothing for the general steering wander.

This recall is not meant to address wandering. It's meant to address "shake or shimmy"

Hi @JeepCares I decided to give it a few weeks of driving to really make a determination of whether the recall work helped my issues or not. It hasn't and the wandering nearly caused me to have an accident on the highway yesterday. I sent along a PM this morning regard the issues.

Thats what im hoping to get done next. Im going away for several days i'm just going to see if i can leave it with my dealer while im gone and hopefully they'll "fix it"

yeah ... i didn't find that out til a few weeks later when CaliforniaJeeping managed to finally get a copy of the bulletin. I had the stabilizer replaced before then :\ and i rarely drive the highway, took awhile to find out the hard way that that wasnt the fix. whoops ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
