Nice work on the mount - you have the right idea. Except the SWR thing -- bad mojo to NOT measure SWR. Spend the $ for an inexpensive UHF meter (or borrow one from somebody) and be _certain_. It's important (as in - "not start a fire inside your jeep" important).

Are you asking about the Comet CP-5NMO 3-axis adjustable lip mount ? I f you are, nearly a year with no problems. As for running the coax into the cab, I used the hole with the plastic plug in the left front of the jeep. Of course I did not terminate the cables until they were inside the vehicle.
Great, thank you!

Larson LP450NMO puck antenna and 3/8" thru-hole NMO mount with PL-259 connector hooked up to a Midland MXT275. I haven't had a great chance to put the radio through it's paces yet, but initial testing shows it at least works

Does that interfere with the GPS or SiriusXM antennas?
I just did this, and I had to oder the XM relocation kit from Maximus-3 (about $35 and puts it just to the left of the locating pin for the driver-side freedom top panel, above the driver sun visor) then used the hole where the XM antenna was (along with a large fender washer) to mount the puck antenna in its place. Just used it at the Jamboree in Idaho last weekend, worked great, no reception issues that I'm aware of with the top and a Rhino-Rack on and above it.

We have the Uniden 760 CB mounted on the tailgate so I was looking at options for an antenna mount for a MXT275 GMRS unit. I found the Rugged Radios fender mount and decided to go that route.

Do you have any pics of your finished install?
Which antenna did you go with?
Any issues with the install?
How satisfied are you with the rugged radios fender mount?

I am eyeing the MXT275 as well, and looking to pair it with the MXTA25 3DB gain ghost antenna, and that fender mount looks pretty sleek.
