Mounting location for GMRS antenna

Trying to find a good location to mount the antenna for a GMRS radio 30” antenna. Hardly anything on my ‘21 JLUR will hold a magnetic mount. Was thinking of removing the “Trail Ready” emblem and attaching there with a right angle mount and drill a hole in the fender for the cable. Has anyone mounted an antenna to that spot?

Found this mount on Amazon. I put a piece of neoprene from an old wetsuit behind it to protect the paint. It's been on since mid 2021 and has held up well. Finish still looks good and no signs of rust.
The midland 6db antenna on this mount exactly matches the placement and hieght of the stock am/fm antenna on the other side - it really satisfies my sence of asthetics.

I would rig something up to the spare tire mount so it's out of the way.

I do like Speed331's mount, but I think I would prefer a mount intended for aux lights that connects to one of the bolts in front of the windshield hinge. This gets the antenna just a bit higher and not blocked by the engine bay, and leverages the hood as a ground plane. I've seen this type of mount in some pics but haven't found the right one yet (I haven't looked that hard).

I mounted my midland stealth antenna off the passenger side A

piller light mount. If you don't have lights you could easily bend up a bracket and mount of the cowl bolts. The wire is easy to hide behind the windshield frame and under the cowl. No drilling and you don't have to worry about it side swiping anything.

Your setup looks pretty good, but I have to laugh at the stubby FM antenna.

Here’s the solution I did. The HF antenna stole the factory AM/FM location with a Rugged Ridge mount. The AM/FM was relocated to the tailgate using CB coax to a CB rubber duck, and the UHF/VHF was mounted using an angle bracket sheet metal screwed to the pinch seam under the cowl cap. The transmitting antennas use the hood as a ground plane, and have excellent reach.

I mounted ours to the roll cage...seems to work adequately for what we use it for.
