Sounds good, but if it take more than 15 mins tops it’s a game stopper for me. I don’t have the time.

From time to time the interstate (every interstate) gets shut down due to ice, or fatal crashes, or road-rage shootings, or bridge failures, or flooding, etc. When the shut-down becomes lengthy, or an extended detour is required, there are always folks who run out of fuel. That’s an easy fix when the DOT crews can get the disabled folks off the highway with a few gallons of gas, because the DOT trucks typically carry 25 or 30 gallons for just that purpose.I think the limits of our current electric infrastructure are such that well-meaning rulemakers are going to have to contend with a reality that they can't argue away.
No, it sounds like comparing accurately. EV != zero emissions. Net emissions are higher than petrol.Sounds like whataboutism. Usually followed by the ostrich strategy to dealing with global warming. Leave a note to your great grandchildren explaining it to them. Make sure that the note is in a waterproof container because you live in a costal state.

More recently, more of the disabled vehicles are electric. We have no five minute solution to transfer 40 miles of range to those vehicles, so they have to be towed. That’s a challenge when you’re 30 miles from the nearest town, there’s a shortage of tow trucks, and crashed vehicles are scattered all over the place.
I suspect sitting on the side of the interstate for five hours in 20 degree weather would encourage the EV set to reconsider the benefits of ICE.
Ford thought about making one in the 50’s. Predicted 5,000 mile range. To bad they didn’t make it; it would have been the bomb??
On the one hand I think the cars from Fallout would be awesome to see driving around. On the other hand, I think it would be terrible to give terrorist turds more tools for mass destruction.Ford thought about making one in the 50’s. Predicted 5,000 mile range. Not sure if there is a safe space on this forums for people who clearly have no sense of humor…. no need to be so uptight just cause you drive a Prius ?Jack ass.
This reminds me when we used to go at it when someone brought up on the Horse Drawn Carriage Forum, "Should I go ahead and buy a horseless carriage as my horse drawn carriage might depreciate too much." Then that person told us they posted this over on the NewModelT Forums. In a nutshell here were the reasons why to not go with a horseless carriage:
Its interesting to me that we really haven' progressed much since the early 1900's. EHC's were popular with the ladies for in city transportation as they were much easier to start versus an ICE horseless carriage that had to be manually crank to start. The first electric vs gasoline powered vehicle war was won because of most of the same advantages and disadvantages between the two power sources that we see today. The final two nails in the coffin for the EHC's were the battery powered electric starter and the proliferation of Standard Oil gas stations in small towns and big cities across the country. Fuel companies were even smart enough to make the gas nozzle at the filling station a standard size. One could fill the tank of their ICE horseless carriage from any filling station in the country. What a novel idea.
This. They have a hard time keeping up with demand NOW. The powers that be want no nuclear plants, no coal fired plants, and not even any more gas fired plants-but let’s double the amount of electricity we use. Yeah, that’s gonna work?. I don’t see ICE going anywhere until fuel cells/hydrogen power takes over.. I believe there’s going to be a very rude awakening someday not too far in the future.I think the limits of our current electric infrastructure are such that well-meaning rulemakers are going to have to contend with a reality that they can't argue away.
