Yes, you can take the Jeep to them. That is what I did last November. It was awesome chatting with them during the install. They have a ton of knowledge about our diesel Jeeps.

Good luck and enjoy your Jeep.

Keep Jeep’n
Thanks, I had seen a few YouTube videos where they did the people’s jeeps in house so figured they would do it but wasn’t for sure.

Thanks I will email them when it gets a bit close and know things are going to l happen.

how you liking the tune out here in Colorado? Be most city driving in Denver but do go up in the mountains often?
Im talking with them on an issue with lag in 1st gear from a stop or when doing a 2-1 downshift at a yield or stop sign. Otherwise, the additional power is great. I had the Banks Derringer before this and can honestly say that the performance generally is much better plus you get the other bennifits

The ones that have this tune, does it change how the fan comes on similar to the rpm fan controller? Or does it keep it the way it was stock?

If you go to their website, you can find the directions. Cliff notes. Disconnect the battery, unplug the ECU, send it in. If you pay for overnight shipping they will get it back to you in two days. I pulled mine on a Monday and sent it out. Got it back on Wednesday. After you get it installed you will take the extra box they send you and download the transmission program to it. You will load that on a windows pc and email it to them. They will send the new transmission tune back to you in about an hour. Load the transmission tune and that’s it. I do believe that they offer a full uploadable tune option as well which will shorten your downtime. It wasn’t available three years ago. . Hope that helps.

That is good to know. I just got the tune installed this weekend. So far my only complaints are the lag from a stop and the downshift from 2nd to 1st. Im messaging the company about those as they are pretty bad. Perhaps its because im doing most of my driving above 7500' of elevation.

Power on the highway is great, cant tell yet on MPG, DPF SL% seems to be going up slower that it was before but time will tell. Most of my driving this weekend was on forest roads and gravel since i was camping near home.
Let me know what they say. Im local to denver and agree the lag from a yield/stop can be atrocious!

The Banks pedal monster makes a huge difference.

Hmm i just sold one this week. I had tried a different one previously and prefered the stock mapping on the highway with the stock tune which is most of my driving.

I see you live in Castle Rock. Numbers are starting to add up that this issue may likely have to do with us operating at a higher eleveation.

Have you had your Jeep down to a lower elevation and if so, is it as noticeable?

I have taken my Jeep to the flatlands of flyover country in the upper Midwest. There really isn't much difference based on altitude that I noticed.

I have my Pedal Monster set to a less aggressive setting. It kills the pedal lag entirely without being too twitchy. You still have turbo lag and always will because physics.

But the Pedal Monster/Derringer pair really makes it pleasant to drive.

How do you deal with inspections? From what I understand they're required once your diesel hits three years.

It all unplugs, leaving no trace behind.

Edit: Just looked it up and they have a CARB EO number so I can leave it on and still pass.
