I did the hot tune about a month ago. A few things I’ve noticed:
Torque converter lock up on deceleration has me using a lot less brakes
Holding lower gears when cold warms it up faster
It holds 8th up hills with the cruise on
No more turbo lag

This is one of my biggest annoyances with my Jeep. Even tuned(EOC stage 2 50hp tune), the Jeep will wait until drops a few mph from what cruise is set up and then down shift to get up a hill when I can easily get up the very same hill in 8th without cruise. I can't stand it because none of my other diesels do this. Whoever designed the cruise control algorithms at Jeep needs to fired.

Did you get a trans tune with eoc? I know gde gave me a separate tune for the trans.

Yes, and it still does it. I have to put the Jeep in manual mode when cruise control on to keep it from shifting back and forth between 7 and 8th going up even slight hills. I am not sure if it is a transmission issue since the the transmission is just reacting to the engine cruise control tuning applying enough load and dropping a few mph. I will email GDE to see if they just sell a transmission tune and they think it will fix this or not.

I like gde because of the tune being a complete recalibration of the pcm it’s not just a matter of adjusting sensor behavior.
they’ve been really helpful over the phone or email

I just wish they had a full delete option like they used to . They are a good company and I would wager a better tune than the route I went. I just emailed them to see if they offer a trans only tune and if it would fix my issue.

They have an afterlife tune now after 150k miles. That allows egr and def delete.

I am a long way from 150k and and since this is a weekend vehicle, it will be a decade before I get there.

Mine does that too. Anytime I go in CC, I drop the shifter into M. GDE said that it would hold a gear better in CC but this has not been the case. Does your’s have advanced safety? Mine does.

GDE said that they couldn’t dial out that feature out if the Jeep had advanced safety. I knew I should skipped those options…..

Yes, mine does as well.. I do the same and put it in manual mode. Oddly, when I have it in adaptive cruise control and following someone, it holds gear, but if I there is no one in front of me, it won't.

Never tried that with ACC. Will be checking that out on the way home.

Without the advanced safety, I basically have to do the same - although I do feel it has been improved since I got the GDE tune. If I ever get a chance where I am not overworking too much and I take the Jeep on a trip more than just to the airport, I will do some testing and provide feedback. Might be heading to moab for EJS, so by then I should be able to weigh in...

I tried it on the way home that night and No dice. I’ll just leave it in M7 or M8.
