"Who needs your stinkin' doors"? My Sahara does not have a gas cap door either, it has a huge sticker price though?? I guess that's what ya get for buyin' early?

I am not jealous at all though, I have the best of both worlds on my Cherokee Trailhawk a locking from inside the Jeep (with a pushbutton) gas cap door, freakin' amazing...NOT!! It's a pain in the ... to "top it off" (see what I did there?) the whole thing is on the wrong freakin' side of the Jeep than I'm used to!

To get back on the subject my gas cap tether is long enough for the cap to fall against the paint! See there is always some big thing to complain about!

Go Jeep!!!

I enjoy California, so don't get me wrong, but a part of me wishes my NY to have a similar label that reads, "The State of NY knows that the State of California's priorities might be a bit skewed, as it seems more "when than if" a major earthquake turns you into a Island off the coast of New Mexico."
LOL indeed

It only comes with the Rubicon, so buying early has nothing to do with it. MOPAR will gladly sell you one for an outrageous price, though!

Yeah, they're not cheap. I got one for $95 and that was "a deal". Not something I'd normally spend that much for, but in N.E. Ohio we get a lot of snow, and I really didn't feel like having to dig snow out of the way every time I wanted to fill up.

Here's a link to a thread on it (Fuel door thread). I got mine from an ebay listing linked on post #2 (still active at the time of this reply). So far that's the best price I've seen them for.

And here's a few shots of my "fix" for the tether. I didn't want the cap hanging on my paint, so I put on the hook as described before. As you can see it holds the cap up out of the way so I can fill the tank, and it keeps the cap off my paint.

Ha ha. Funny because I have a guy at work that makes me think the same thing about myself. He'd apparently blow your mind. :cwl:

I usually hang mine over my gas cap door and it’s always out of the way

That wouldn't work for me. The tether is shorter than that. Doesn't reach very far at all. They must have run out of tether plastic. I just need another inch....that's what she said. :cwl:

Now that is just plain weird.

Time to have the dealer fix that.

Too much of a pain to go to the dealer. It will take 1 hour of my life for a 5 minute job, I would prefer to just vent in the forums

The Jeep is awesome, the dealers....not so awesome, I like your gif of the polar bear :like:
