90% maybe more of Jeep people would actually like an IFS better. As long as you can put big tires on it and jack it up the vast majority of people will be happy. It will steal Jeep customers IF (and that's a big if) it looks the part. It can't look just like every other SUV and steal sales
Yes, that looks like it might be a lot better than the photo that has been shown on the assembly line. Of particular interest to me is the flares on the fender. The one picture I saw looked like a cheap aftermarket product. While some doubt Ford's reliability (some people complain about...
I took the hoop bar off my Rubicon and sold it as the Jeep is being repurchased. The lights, PIAA 3 1/2" LED Amber Driving lights with grilled covers were used for 1 year. I bought them new for around $260. At that time I bought a Go Rhino set of Cowl Mounts for the JLU. They were around $75. I...
I'm guessing many of you bragging about your one touch skyroof may not even know if it's defective. I find it difficult to believe I have the only one defective AND that the replacement was the only one to fail like the original. There is glare so in the picture the first band of wide white is...
I hope FORD has a buy Jeep program where they offer over book for Jeeps to trade in on their new Bronco. I'd probably jump on the offer. Got my Jeep back today. I was hoping someone would steal it while it was sitting at the dealership getting fixed for the 4th time. Oh well, after I drive her...
Here's an FYI. It might possibly help your service technician as well.
These roofs are new and probably not a lot of repairs have been made. Last month my roof, when driving at highway speeds would lift about 1/2" on the side above the passengers head. It was the first time the dealership had...
#1 is normal, not broke. #2 is probably a Jeep thing, mine does it.
Not sure what a floor flap thing is but probably cheap to fix.
have you gotten the recall on the steering damper? That was supposed to be one of the issues-the original not working well in cold weather
As for trade-in My $60K...
I put them on the JKU for the grandkids. I have not really noticed the JLU needing them. It seems to be already reclined somewhat, at least compared to the JKU
I've wanted one since I was 16. But the stories of people that had them and hated them scared me off. Poor ride and handling and poor reliability. Now though the ride and comfort seems a lot more civil (I like the JL even better than my JK). The reliability doesn't worry me as I am now able to...
I've never had seat covers on any of my vehicles. But then again I usually buy leather seats and I'm sure not going to cover them with cheap covers....or expensive ones either. Just use your seats and if they wear THEN put seat covers on.
Obviously you missed the humor I meant. So my serious answer...I hear so much wind noise coming in to my current Jeep and my last Jeep that I highly doubt that that it is sealed tight enough to cause any pressure problems (as many cars do) when shutting the doors
I like the looks of the Mopar Steel bumpers. I dislike the plastic ones. I didn't really want to do many mods and I like the curved looks of the OEM, rather than the chisled looks of most offroad bumpers. I really don't plan to bang mine against rocks so I'm not worried about them being as...
Thanks. They called and said they had parts on order that should be in next Wednesday. I just hope they take me in when the parts come. Last time they ordered parts my appointment was 30 days later and by that time they sent the parts back at the request of Jeep. We will see.
