Hey guys, I just installed the Fox 2.0 steering stabilizer on my '18 2 door sport with JPP Fox 2 inch lift kit. Subsequently I've noticed a considerable pull to the right.
I put the mopar original unit back on and no pull.
Doing some minor research I've seen others reporting the same issue. Would best course of action be to exchange for another stabilizer or have dealer perform alignment or another service? Thanks.

I did the same thing and experienced the same thing. But, since then, it’s largely gone unnoticed (it’s been around 4 months). I don’t know if it got worked in to the point that it’s good now, or I just intuitively adapted to it. I’ll pay closer attention tomorrow, but my gut response tells me my issue worked itself out as the steering stabilizer broke in. This is completely a non-technician layperson perspective FYI.

You stabilizer may be faulty. I have a 2.0 and it tracks straight. I know fox had an issue with them not being neutral at one point.

Sorry to bump this thread, just looking to make an informed decision as I returned the Fox 2.0 stabilizer. Would the N3 Dual Steering Stabilizer be my best bet vs the Fox Factory Racing 2 ATS stabilizer or the Teraflex Falcon nexus EF 2.0? Any opinions on dual vs single in general? Thanks

I’ve always run a dual stabilizer, not because it works any better, but I liked the heavier feeling steering it gives.

However..... since I put on the synergy tie rod, the dual won’t work because the new tie rod sits closer to the diff........... So I’m using one of my fox 2.0s for now. I’ve got the fox racing ats ordered.

I wish I’d seen your thread sooner , there’s a way to let some pressure off those shocks......

Just bringing this up again in case anyone else has same issue. I have a 2 door Sport S (JL). I recently installed the Mopar 2" lift with the Fox Steering stabilizer (non-Mopar--#FOX985-24-173). My installer had the Jeep aligned after install. It slightly pulls to the right. I've seen on other forums and on the item reviews on Qtec that this is common. Lots of online discussion about this being a "positively charged" unit instead of "neutral" and maybe even faulty. I ordered this one due to the Mopar Fox unit being backordered.

I tried the "Prime" method by turning lock to lock 5 times, which one Gladiator owner says worked to fix the pull. No dice there. I'll see if it "works itself out" after some miles as at least one other person has stated. It's mildly annoying. Steering wheel is straight but vehicle drifts right and changes lanes after several seconds. If it doesn't work itself out I plan on putting the post-recall Mopar OEM stabilizer back on for now. Then maybe spring for an adjustable. Just wanted to share my experience with this Fox unit.

Easy to check it, jack front end up so both wheels are off the ground, start it up and turn the wheels to the left slightly and see if shock pushes/ pulls them back . If wheels stay put then stabilizer not your issue.

Thank you. Great idea. If the stabilizer is positively charged (too much) it will push the rack and the wheels will turn not having resistance. Easy enough to check.

I have the same 2.0 Fox and have had zero issues with it pulling and even when it was installed by @TTEChris of Tank Customs over a year ago even then I had no issues.

Bringing up an old thread, that, apparently is still relevant in 2024.

I needed my stock stabilizer replaced under warranty and the dealer offered the Fox instead, with the cost difference. I accepted. But at the same time I threw on my spare set of tires/wheels running Coopers in place of the KO2s. The pull to the right was annoying but half of me thought it was the tires.

I used your technique and yeah; turn the wheel to the left, and it bounces back toward the right. Turn the wheel right and let go, and nothing happens.

The dealers favor was not a favor after all.

I just had a the Fox ATS installed and Cooper STT Pros. My shop that did the steering mentioned Coopers pulling to the right. So far I haven't noticed anything like that though. I guess time will tell.
