I installed this past weekend... no lift. .. I'm post #18956. A few pages prior to mine, @Bricazo and @Roky also installed recentlyGood morning guys,
I have a stock rubicon and want to install the fox 985-02-148 ATS 2.0 steering stabilizer.
Anybody put one of these on a stock ride?
Can this be done with Jeep on the ground?
Thanks
Robbie
Happened to some Fox IFP stabilizers and not the Fox ATS or TS..In my recent experience, don't waste your money on this one. Just last night I installed this on my Rubicon (lifted, tho) and the stabilizer caused a signficant right hand pull on my rig. Put the OE (V41 recall unit) right back on, pull gone. Lots of similar issues on others' Jeeps too with this stabilizer, I've since learned. When you compress the Fox stabilizer, it extends under pressure, like a shock, rather than staying static. As a result, that extension translates into a right pull. Mine's getting returned today. In any event, it didn't drive any better than the new version stock stabilizer, IMHO. Stock stabilizer stays static when you compress it to a particular position. But, you can easily install these on the ground (which is how you're supposed to). Ten minutes top- two 18mm bolts.
Yep- my bad- sorry about that. I was referring to my experience with part # 985-24-173, the 2.0 IFP stabilizer. Can't speak to the ATS version.Happened to some Fox IFP stabilizers and not the Fox ATS or TS..
Awesome thanks !!I installed this past weekend... no lift. .. I'm post #18956. A few pages prior to mine, @Bricazo and @Roky also installed recently
You can do this with the tires on the ground... so easy a caveman (me) can do it.
